Excerpt: From the makers of the Mario Tennis and the Golden Sun series, now comes Mario Golf: Advance Tour. Like the previous Mario Golf games, this game plays surprisingly similarly. Camelot decided to add some new things to the game, such as some RPG features. Is this game a hole in one?
Conclusion: After some initial doubts I finally had to accept that a role-playing golf game made sense. Mario Golf Advance Tour (MGAT) is foremost a golf game with the usual suspects and golf modes accounted for, but the bulk of the game and the only way to unlock courses and characters is to golf through the Story mode.
Pros: - Very solid golf mechanics, - RPG sensibility actually works, - Good multiplayer, - Save anytime during a round
Excerpt: Mario Golf was released on the GBC more then three years or four years ago and it was a brilliant game back then with the limitations of the old GBA. The game offered a really good RPG story mode and the golfing wasnt too bad either. Now comes the second version of the game on the GBA and with less limitations on the GBA Camelot has taken the opportunity to produce a new version for the new console and they’ve done it perfectly.

Excerpt: Camelot has been one of the few transcendent developers over the past seven years for Nintendo, making excellent games in the genre of sport ( Mario Golf and Mario Tennis ) and the recently eye-catching role-playing series of Golden Sun . It would seem somewhat offbeat that a company can perfectly produce two completely different genres of games so easily, however it’s even more abnormal to see a company being able to combine the two genres together so successfully.
