Kao the Kangaroo

Portable Review
23 October 2005
  • Excerpt: Just when I thought when platformers couldn't get any worse, crap like this comes out. Sure, there may be some great platformers on the GBA but there are more bad than good. Well, I just happened to stumble upon KAO the Kangaroo while looking through my gaming collection. After playing this game for a while I realized it was almost like a remake of the Dreamcast version. Why do game developers make good games into shit? Eh, just read on to see what I'm talking about.

Kao the Kangaroo Review

24 December 2002
  • Excerpt: Kao the Kangaroo for the Game Boy Advance re-creates last year's Dreamcast game through the use of vibrant 2D character sprites and lush background paintings. Once again, Kao has been kidnapped from his home in the Australian Outback, and it's up to you to help him return. What follows is a 22-level adventure that's not entirely unlike Nintendo's Super Mario World, except that it's significantly more dull and frustrating.

Expert Review

10 December 2001
  • Excerpt: I always try to be fair and honest when I review a title. However, there are times when being honest just can't describe how poor a product is. Such is the case with Kao the Kangaroo. At first glance, Kao doesn't appear to be bad at all. It is cute and colorful. What could be wrong?
