Juka and the Monophonic Menace
14 February 2007
Pros: Good introduction for anyone new to role-playing games, innovative attack and potion-making procedures, lively world filled with charming structures and characters
Cons: Battles and puzzles pose no challenge, potion making takes up too much time, few opportunities to cut loose with Juka's abilities, characters are constantly telling you what to do, linear story doesn't leave much room for exploration
Summary: With its unique game play and memorable characters, Juka and the Monophonic Menace is just interesting enough for me to recommend. It won't make you want to give up on the Zelda series, but it is a solid reason to dust off your GBA and give it some love! This product was submitted by the publisher for review. As a rule, Defunct Games does not review games we spent money on. However, that does not always apply to classic/retro games.
