Great

  • Summary: Both me and my partner are retro gamers and have no want or need for the "collectors" value.. I brought this with the intention of playing it! Game works perfectly... Came well packaged and arrived in very good time! Nothing like a good throwback!

This game's really good!

Penny Jagger, amazon.co.uk
19 January 2006
  • Summary: This game is really fun to play on - at first you will probabally get stuck on the first level, but once you really get into the game, it will become easier. You play as Harry and you have to complete various tasks such as finding books in the library, spell challanges and flying lessons. A cool game, but some bits are quite hard.

Magic !

Elise, amazon.co.uk
30 July 2005
  • Summary: This game is one of the best games I've played and a must for Harry Potter fans. The gameplay is very good and simply exploring the Castle and grounds is enough to keep you entertained for hours. Getting round the castle is made fast and easy unlike the tediosness of the previous Harry Potter game. The game is challenging to the right degree, not impossible but will entertain you for a long time. The magic bean challenges are particularly enjoyable.

Brill

  • Summary: This game is brilliant. It has a lot of challenges in it, Gringotts bank is the first challenge.I found Gringotts to be the most difficult but don't be put off. Diagon Alley was quite easy. When you get into Hogworts there's loads of stuff to do. SO YOU BETTER GET IT!!!!!!!!!!

Short lived, sell outs, poor

"watfordsupporter", amazon.co.uk
8 January 2004
  • Summary: I suppose it sould have come to me as little suprise that this spin off would be awful. The game play is short (I started and completed the entire game on a coach journey from London to Swansea). You spend most of that time attempting to direct your little Harry Potter from one end of 'hogworts' to another to perform another menial task of little interest or concequence.

Not for the over-12s

Elise, amazon.co.uk
31 December 2003
  • Summary: This is exactly what all of the other reviewers said - too short, too easy and lacks depth. However, and I admit that since I am an adult who also likes the books I made the same mistake, this is not aimed at gamers - except for those who are pre-teen. As a game aimed at the children's market, it is far from perfect, but is a very playable game.

Pretty, but short-lived

K. Ord, amazon.co.uk
15 September 2003
  • Summary: This game follows the plot of 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets', so if you've read the book and/or seen the film, you'll find it all quite straightforward - and it's not very difficult anyway. As you progress through the game (and the story), you learn new spells and find hidden items like Bertie Botts beans and wizard cards.

Good but can be annoying

moc247, amazon.co.uk
5 June 2003
  • Summary: This is a fun game to play but sometimes its design can be annoying. For example, jumping from block to block is very frustrating because of the way the game is layed out. Also after sometime, using the directional buttons becomes a real pain, and you really wish you had a joystick! If you love GBA, then this game is fine, but the PS2 game is much better so if you have a PS2 then buy the PS2 version instead!
