Gradius Galaxies review (GBA)

HonestGamers
4 November 2005
  • Excerpt: So, what did Konami do to ramp up the difficulty? If you answered, “Throw in a few obstacle course sections WHILE botching up your ship’s hit detection ever-so-slightly!” you get full credit. I, on the other hand, received nothing but frustration from the mass number of cheap deaths inflicted on me.

Review : Gradius Galaxies for Gameboy Advance

8Bitjoystick.com
29 March 2003
  • Conclusion: The team that did Ikaruga is going to be designing Gradius 5 so that has the potential to be the best space ship shooter ever. Gradius Galaxies is a damn fine addition to any gamer's GBA collection who remembers the days of 2d space ship shooters on the 16 bit era. Here is hoping for a Paradious game on the GBA!

Gradius Galaxies Review

GameSpot
21 November 2001
  • Excerpt: Gradius Galaxies is a new rendition of a familiar friend. Unlike recent attempts to revive the series on the PlayStation and PlayStation 2, Gradius Galaxies is not a rehash. Each of the game's eight colorful levels and 47 sublevels is brand new, even if there is ample homage to prior Gradius releases scattered throughout in the form of enemies and background details.
