Frogger Advance: The Great Quest

Game Over Online
17 July 2002
  • Excerpt: Frogger Advance: The Great Quest actually has little to do with the classic title Frogger. It's a charming platform title that happens to feature frogs and other swamp denizens as part of the plot. It can be said that on a closer look, these frogs really don't have much to do with the frogs found in Frogger either. They're all dressed in clothes whereas the original Frogger preferred to go au natural. They don't leap across busy city streets.

Frogger Advance: The Great Quest

GameSpot
19 June 2002
  • Excerpt: Frogger, a cultural icon almost synonymous with the golden age of arcade gaming, has now branched out to just about every console imaginable. Frogger Advance: The Great Quest for the Game Boy Advance is the latest addition to the family. Yet gamers expecting an updated look at the classic game will probably find themselves a little confused by this game, as it bears virtually no resemblance whatsoever to the game that made "Frogger" a household name.

  • Excerpt: From the Commodore 64 back in 1983 to the arcade annex of the local Pizza Hut with a pocket full of change, Frogger and I have enjoyed a long and prosperous relationship. Now this brightly-animated portable version of the arcade classic has renewed my interest in the adventurous amphibian.
