Fire Emblem

Fire Emblem is developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It is a game with single player mode or multiplayer up to four persons via a system link.

Features

The Fire Emblem is a fantasy turn-based strategy role playing game. The main characters are Hector, Eliwood and Lyn. It features 3D graphics of fields, villages and caves. Player can view the battles from several different sides for improved strategy. The game is set in the continent of Elibe. Players move a small group of units around a square-based grid, battling their enemies in order to complete a certain predefined objective. Players will combat against monsters, images and lunatics. Players will have to command knights, shape shifters, winged soldiers, and soldiers wielding pikes. The battle system is introduced via a tutorial system that is integrated into the game play of the first few chapters. Player can change weapons such as staves, bows, swords, lances, axes and magic, healing salves, and various other items with the other characters on the field. Each character can have up to five slots to carry these aforementioned items, but they can discard unnecessary items, and they can only trade if directly next to each other. For the major weapons, they follow a rock-paper-scissor's like affair in which swords beat axes, axes beat lances, and lances beat swords and similar concepts with magic. It is equipped with multi player functions with multi-cartridge multiplayer, single-cartridge multiplayer and console-to-handheld system link. It supports memory card and cartridge save.
