Final Fight One - Finally a politician who is tough on crime
14 August 2011
Excerpt: Final Fight is a late eighties arcade side scrolling brawler made by those wonderful chaps at Capcom (or at least wonderful until they became greedy and started to milk consumers for cash by releasing multiple editions of their fighting games within a short period of time.
Pros: Features all three characters from the arcade, good sized sprites, unloackable extras
Cons: Sound effects could be better, some more moves and levels would have been nice
Excerpt: A distant relative to Street Fighter II, Capcom's Final Fight was a smash hit in the arcades and one of my favourite beat 'em ups. It was great to see it come back to the home consoles, even better to hear it would be playable on the move in a new, enhanced version - Final Fight One.
Pros: It's a classic game, and there's lots of stuff to unlock
Summary: One area in which the GBA excels is in its vast selection of retro games from the 8- and 16-bit eras; Zelda: A Link to the Past, Final Fantasy 1 & 2, all Mario games, Wings and the NES classics range to name but a few.
Summary: This is just like the Super Nintendo 16-bit version, but scaled down to fit perfectly in your pocket. I've got to say, if you love the whole Streets of Rage style side-scrolling-beat'em up games, you'll love Final Fight.
Summary: Final fight one is one of the best beat em ups i have ever played. it is extremely challenging and you only see the end when you complete it on extreme difficulty level, very easy is hard enough. you play as one of three people, Haggar, the mayor, Guy, another person, or cody, Guy's friend.
Summary: No, this game isn't about being a refuse collector. This game is excellent! You have to work through six, quite difficult levels to save the Mayor's daughter. You can play the mayor or two other tuff nuts and you have to go out and basically kill anything that moves before it kills you.
Summary: I thought this game was utter pap! I bought it on release day on the strength of reviews I'd read online (not here) and on memories of playing either this or Double Dragon back when I was about 13. What a disappointment. :o( Mindless button bashing that doesn't seem to need a strategy.
Summary: Final fight one is a great game, like you might have seen in arcades. You walk along a street and beat up street punks, this happens all over the game non-stop. At the end of a level you hit a big boss. Graphics Wise this game is great, It really puts the GBA's power to good use.
Summary: Although this is a good game, especially fun on those long journeys, i found it quite repetitive. It is a slightly challenging game in some areas and I think it will appeal to most people. Choice of three characters, 6 levels and lots of enemies. Shame 2 games are needed for multiplayer however...
