Excerpt: Before I start, there
are probably two things you need to know about me. I love first person
shooters and I don't play as many FPSs as I would like to, but I can
still tell the difference between a good one and a crappy one. Aim and Shoot
Ecks vs. Sever was published about a year before DooM, and I could be
wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's based on the movie of the same name.
Excerpt: When the Gameboy Advance was about come out, I wasn’t exactly dying to get one; from the games that I’d seen, it looked nothing more than a redesigned Gameboy Colour (or Color, depending on where you live). A quick play on someone else’s import version made me certain that it was nothing special. Browsing online one day, I came across a title named Ecks Vs. Sever and downloaded a video of it.
Excerpt: In 2001, Ecks vs. Sever was the best FPS that we had ever seen on the GBA. It was released not long after launch, and despite three years passing, big names such as James Bond, Duke Nukem, and Serious Sam have all fallen short of this game's graphical prowess and fun factor.
