Duel Masters: Sempai Legends

Into Liquid Sky
12 September 2004
  • Excerpt: Duel Masters follows a steady stream of collection-based media properties taking hold of a popular trend started by Pokemon and furthered by Yu-Gi-Oh . Big on CCG (collectible card game) properties, Wizards of the Coast has taken the anime-based game to the GBA.
  • Pros: Addictive CCG gameplay, Lots of cards and ways to make your deck, Link play against your friends
  • Cons: Graphic style seems weak compared to source, Audio is forgettable

Duel Masters: Sempai Legends

Nintendo World Report
8 July 2004
  • Summary: I hear this game has card-battling in it.
  • Pros: Comes with five limited edition cards, Neat looking backgrounds
  • Cons: Duel Masters core game (may be a “pro” for some people), Even though I don’t really care about storylines, this one is patently absurd, Repetitive, boring, tedious. All qualify., When I think of generic Japanese animation, I think of Duel Masters: Sempai Legends

Expert Review

1 January 2005
  • Excerpt: Once again we return for another bout of video games that are based on collectible card games... And once again we focus on the Duel Masters series, the second of a three review series. The third will be based on the most recent GBA game out for the series, but when I'll review it is another matter though... I guess I'll review it when I can get ahold of it, but for now we have this so let's get into it.

Duel Masters: Sempai Legends - Review (GBA)

18 October 2004
