Dragonball Z: Taiketsu

Portable Review
19 July 2005
  • Excerpt: What do you get when you have thousands of Dragon ball Fans that want a game? Well, you get a game like this one. I understand the developer’s logic with this game and I can spell it out to you with one word; money. Just the Dragon Ball Z name on it will make it sell. It doesn’t take more than one howling child to get their parents to buy this game. Does that mean you should buy this for them? My answer is most definitely no. Notice them take up 1/2 the screen.

Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu

Nintendo World Report
26 February 2004
  • Summary: Let me take you back to the Super Famicom days in 1990s Japan…
  • Pros: Lots of unlockable stuff, Sky Battle 2 would make a good Atari 2600 game
  • Cons: Broken, shallow fighting, Dull controls and inadequate animations, Horrible character graphics

Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu

The Armchair Empire
14 February 2004
  • Conclusion: But where the game starts rolling downhill are the graphics, which range from plain to shoddy. A lack of color and odd saturation make the characters look pseudo-3D (i.e. Tekken on GBA) while the background remains rich in color and detail. This contrast of a detailed background against a rigid foreground takes away the idea of the characters actually fighting in that area. Alleviating some of this is very-good animation.

  • Conclusion: Stay away from this game, seriously. If you value your sanity stay the hell away. It's not fun, it plays like trash and it looks even worse.

GamesFirst!

  • Excerpt: I'd like to be the first one to tell you that Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu is a pretty good game, but if I did I would be a really huge liar so I'm not going to. One of the worst fighting systems ever engineered, bland graphics and little variety are a few of the fatal flaws that doom this game. How bad could it really be? Click here to find out.

Toriyama ne va pas apprécier...

OteraGame
6 November 2005

Dragonball Z - Taiketsu - Review (GBA)

Konsolen-World
19 July 2004
