Doom Advance on the GBA..

"joeforster", Amazon
23 December 2002
  • Summary: This is the classic game on the gameboy advance, and it is brilliant. It's basically just that; Doom on the game boy advance. All the sounds and music are pretty much the same as the PC version, and the handy new L and R buttons on the GBA make it easy to sidestep.

Erm... I'm stunned.

Jezar, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: Crikey... The Gameboy Advance isn't meant to be this good surely?!? I thought that Doom would be a bit clunky and naff on the GBA, so imagine my surprise when I switched on, and found a near-perfect clone of the original PC Doom game, running smoothly in full three-dimensional glory. Yup. It's Doom.

Quality Game

Mr. David Thomasson "Not impressed", Amazon
28 November 2001
  • Summary: This is a perfect conversion of the original classic 'DOOM'. The presentation is excellent and the sound effects are exactly the same as the PC version. You can hear demons growling and grunting in the distance creating a tense atmosphere. There's music aswell which sounds ace.

Well..damn!

27 November 2001
  • Summary: I didn't really believe it could be possible...but after shelling out for an Advance and Doom, I was completely wrong! It's as close to the PC version as you could hope to get in your hand.

MORE GORE, THOUGH IT SURE AIN'T A BORE!

Matthew Landau, amazon.co.uk
20 November 2001
  • Summary: Doom Advance is the 1st 3D game for the gba, and boy does it rock! It looks even better than the pc version, albeit the slightly small viewing area. It runs really smoothly and fast, and is the best for longevity.
