Donkey Kong Country

Donkey Kong Country is a video game developed by Rare Ltd and published by Nintendo. Its designer is Tim Stamper. It is a game with single player or two players’ mode.

Features

The Donkey Kong Country is a platform and side scrolling game. It is a home video game console to use pre-rendered 3-D graphics. The main characters of the game are Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Donkey Kong is able to slap the ground, unveil secrets, defeats stronger enemies as compare to Diddy Kong and used in caves usually. Diddy Konng is faster, athletic and suitable for "acrobatic" levels. The player can switch between Kongs via a "tag" feature. There are six worlds: Kongo Jungle, Monkey Mines, Vine Valley, Gorilla Glacier, Kremkroc Industries Inc. and Chimp Caverns. Donkey Kong has to recover his stolen hoard of bananas from King K. Rools and the Kremlings. Along the way, Donkey Kong can get helps from his buddy, Diddy Kong, Cranky Kong, Funky Kong and Candy Kong. They can beat enemies by jumping on them and throw barrels, or somersault/cartwheel to knock enemies out. They collect bananas, K-O-N-G letter and life balloons golden animal tokens for extra lives and bonus level. It is equipped with an off-screen HUD. It supports two players’ mode with console-to-handheldsystem link and multi-cartridge multiplayer. It offers cartridge saves with a save-anywhere feature. It has a statistic screen that shows the chart progress.

Donkey Kong Country is simply a classic and one that translates well on the GBA . Though some of the graphics have been given a downgrade and the soundtrack itself is a bit lacking, the overall quality of the game hasn't changed a bit. The gameplay is intact and is a blast to play through. Anyone looking for some good old platforming games need look no further... Donkey Kong Country has got you covered. Read more

Every now and then a game comes along that you just can’t put your feelings for into words. I find that these are typically games that do really nothing original, yet completely set a precedent for the future of the genre, even if it is just a rehash of a past idea. I realized this just tonight as I sat down to review Donkey Kong Country (DKC) for the GBA. The game, stripped of all it’s monkey shenanigans and banana collecting, is nothing more than a clone of Super... Read more

This game is great it's not that challenging but it's one of those games that you play and you might get 2% done each time and then you get stuck at one level and keep playing it. Once you calm down by the next day you can beat the level that you were having trouble beating. but over-all it's a great game. Read more
