There are some cool bits in Batman Begins , like having the ability to snag unaware enemies from the darkness for an easy kill, or being able to call up a flock of bats for protection and a nifty special attack. It's a solid action title with a really great look for the Game Boy Advance, even if the game design doesn't do a whole lot to impress with anything "new" for GBA gamers. Begins is the best Batman game on the GBA, but that really isn’t saying much considering how bad Vengeance and Rise of Sin Tzu were. There are some good ideas here, but the combat needs some touching up, the backgrounds blending is nothing short of ridiculous, and the lack of replay value give this game a basic score. If you are looking for a solid action fighting game, play Astro Boy instead. Read more
There's no doubting that Vicarious Visions have made a challenging and enjoyable game and if you've already seen the movie and saw yourself as a bit of a crime fighter this game really does deliver where many before have failed. This is mostly due to the clever fusion between combat and stealth, which works incredibly well and makes the whole experience feel much less linear.
