With the summer film earning surprisingly good response from critics and fans alike, EA's Batman Begins for the PS2 faces the task of recreating the more exciting sequences while not completely ignoring the movie's somber tone. They have largely succeeded, emphasizing Batman's stealthy characteristics and cool moves, aside from the usual flash. There are a few action sequences, but the game maintains the feel of the film, while still offering players a decent challenge.... Read more

Although there are select few portions of enjoyable gameplay in Batman Begins , most of the game is annoying and tedious. For that reason, and coupled with the issue of the game’s very short length, Batman Begins is a mediocre action title that should be avoided. Read more

Begins is the best Batman game on the GBA, but that really isn’t saying much considering how bad Vengeance and Rise of Sin Tzu were. There are some good ideas here, but the combat needs some touching up, the backgrounds blending is nothing short of ridiculous, and the lack of replay value give this game a basic score. If you are looking for a solid action fighting game, play Astro Boy instead. Read more

There's no doubting that Vicarious Visions have made a challenging and enjoyable game and if you've already seen the movie and saw yourself as a bit of a crime fighter this game really does deliver where many before have failed. This is mostly due to the clever fusion between combat and stealth, which works incredibly well and makes the whole experience feel much less linear. The complete omission of the Batmobile however, will disappoint fans of the movie as a few... Read more
