Summary: It's been 5 weeks and still waiting for the 3 free games. I've already ordered the PSP3000. The GO is going on sold on auction. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE GO
Pros: Small and portable - no media, all loaded internally. LOL
Cons: No media, cannot use UMD disks. Cannot share games. Cannot get games included, been calling support every week, they keep saying they will ship. The playstation network account required to even play games is confusing and useless. Everything is dependent on the playstation account. Games purchase...
Summary: I will be returning this product. Save yourself some time energy and money, buy the older model.
Pros: It's small and pretty.
Cons: Have been working on getting the free games that came with the device for over 36 hours! Can not get any credit card to be accepted to even buy a game. Does not use my old games. Does not use my old cards. It seems that if it came with free games they would be pre loaded on the device so that you...
Cons: The PSP Go I bought on 12/2/10 died after 4 months. I had spent $150 on games and movies. Sony sent me back a refurbished unit under warranty that was empty. After many hours on the phone getting the run around about redownloading what I had paid for. I was sent a denial email that said I had dow...
Summary: There is no reason to buy this thing, just buy a 3000 model for a lower price & get all this has & more, not some modified slider cell phone with 333mhz that's a good mp3 player.
Pros: None really except It's smaller ? it's agood mp3 player, but so is my cell phone & my Sony MP3 player so no big deal, how many MP3 players do I need ? It's black.
Cons: smaller screen,no added technology at all, good technology was removed like the UMD drive- how do I switch out my UMD movies on the air plane now when I travel ?I can't switch out the battery for a fresh one on the road so your out of luck in 4 hours of travel, can't play old PSP UMD games, your lim...
Summary: It's nice that they're embracing digital downloads, but removing the UMD drive and replacing it with a woefully inadequately sized internal flash disk was idiotic. This thing is only good as a portable MEDIA device, meaning music, video clips, photos.
Pros: lighter weight, portability.
Cons: Where to begin? The removal of the UMD is a good point, I think. The UMD is the BASIS for the PSP, and they removed it? Stupid much? How about the control scheme. ripoff of Slider phones? Internal Flash Drive? only 16 GB? ARE THEY STUPID? maybe if it had an 80 GB flash drive instead....
Summary: Would not buy again unless Sony gets it act together.
Pros: What could have been. No pros.
Cons: No matter what we tried we could not get this to connect to our wireless internet. We read all the help files and post on Sony's website as well as searches on Google for help. It seams a lot of people are haing the same trouble. Why does a brand new product have issues with something as simple a...
Summary: I don’t like planes so I head a 7 hour train ride charged this thing the night before and about 4hrs it was dead. I think I should have gone with the 3000, but I didn’t research as deep as I should have. It’s an OK device but it could be better.
Pros: Small for easy carrying, 14gb of memory to start off with.
Cons: Can’t change the battery so no spare to take along on long trips with layover. Can’t resell my games when done with them,
Summary: Costs more than the regular PSP for less. Get a regular PSP.
Pros: Small form factor
Cons: PSP Go only has Wireless 802.11b! That's 10-year old technology on a device that whose only mode of receiving new games is via the Internet? Couldn't they have at least upgraded to G network or N? It's hardware limited to 802.11b, meaning no software upgrade can fix it.
Summary: Sony shot themselves on both feet this time. The PSP was great because it used UMDs. You can borrow games from a friend and you can buy used ones as well. Sony is the only company where you can buy memory for this thing.
Pros: Smaller size. Crisp screen.
Cons: No UMD drive. Proprietary memory. Battery not replaceable. Short battery life. You have to buy games you already own on UMD all over again.
Summary: The whole digital distribution is kinda iffy at this point and i at least hope Sony is nice enough to keep the psp -3000 and the umd's around till the end of the series life cycle.
Pros: brighter screen digital distribution
Cons: Completely digital distribution makes it so you can only buy games from one place and there is no competition to keep the price reasonable. And like another reviewer stated, you don't technical own the game you own the rights to play it but noting more than that and i think the only download 3 ti...
