The PSP Go is a nice idea, but the flimsy build and high prices for its download-only games let it down. Moving to downloads only is a bold move, but games should at least be reduced to match their UMD cousins. Compared to the Nintendo DSi, the PSPgo is on a par, with games aimed at more hardcore users. However, if you want a PSP, we’d still recommend going for the older version. Read more

Whenever a new version of a device is announced we automatically assume that it is going to be better than the previous one. If one finds the device to be indeed better than the previous one, the manufacturer is heaped praise upon. But if the products doesn’t deliver much then you probably vent your anger on the product maker. You probably measure the performance of the previous version and the newer one. The newer one has to deliver better and also has to be cheap. Read more

Don’t like a game you just bought? There is no way to sell it or return it. Once you buy a game online, you are stuck with it. Sony does offer online demos which is a nice solution to this but still not exactly ideal. Games, after the long and annoying wait to download, run great however. The positives of the PSPgo? Well Sony advertised it as a multi media do it all device and honestly, it’s right. Read more

    * Battery Life: The PSPGo has a great battery life. I've never timed it, but outside one annoyance, I've never had it run out on me in between charges. The problem comes in the auto-on feature. If the screen is flipped up, even a small amount, the device will come out of sleep mode. I have a constant problem with the device turning itself on in my pocket and not noticing for hours until the battery is totally dead. I have yet to find a way to turn this feature off. Read more

Here's the deal, I had some money to spend in a handheld for my solitary lunchbreaks, so I started doing some research, at first I thought about buying the psp go, I'm 39 but I wantes to spend my time doing something entertaining and enjoyable, so psp games sounded great for that purpose. In my research I found 2 other handhelds in the same price range, an archos 5 and an ipod touch. both are 16 gb, play games and have built in wifi. Read more

This has got to be the best idea by Sony yet! The PSP GO does not have a UMD drive. It makes the system smaller, easier to put in your pocket, lighter and more battery time. The UMD media discs were always made from cheap plastic that breaks apart too easily... And if the discs gets scratched, your money went down the drain.. Sony fixed that by offering media downloads directly from the Sony PSN Store. Read more

I traded in a bunch of PS3 games, sold my DSi and its games to buy a PSP Go along with an online copy of Gran Turismo. I have to give Sony props for making an awesome portable. All the buttons are better and while the analog stick takes a little getting used to, it is also improved. The slider is solid and frankly 16GB is plenty to pack on a bunch if photos, a couple dozen albums, download a bunch of demos and of course Gran Turismo. Read more

the fact that you don't have to carry around any kind of disk is excellent, and the storage on it is good. The screen is a nice size and the console fits perfectly into your pocket to take around. Its pretty small. The games are pretty much as fun to play as on the PS3 (or PS2) but the older models of the PSP, like the 3000 and the 'slim and lite' where nicer to hold, but more bulky. The graphics are pretty good and so is the sound. Read more
