Sony Officially Unveils Disc-Free "PSP Go" 03 Jun 2009 Determined to take a firm foothold in the handheld gaming market, Sony has unveiled the PSP Go - a more portable, download-only device. Smaller and 43 percent lighter than the current PSP, it also boasts a slide-top screen that snaps shut like a mobile phone, hiding the controls. The major change is the dumping of the maligned UMD disc drive for the speed and convenience of 16GB internal flash memory. This puts the... Read more

That's not to say that we dislike it. In fact, the PSPgo is attractive, playable and pleasingly compact. The fourth entry in the PlayStation Portable line is considerably more toteable than its predecessors, with a slick form factor that resembles a slider phone. Measuring in at 5 x 0.6 x 2.7 inches... Sony’s latest incarnation of its handheld looks like the “If They Mated” result of a brief, unsatisfying, boozy affair between a PSP-3000 and an iPod Touch. Read more

Hmmm I am really a fan of this for the simple fact that it those away with the one thing I felt the psp failed at immensely which is no more umds. Most notably if you own no prior PSP system, or lack any mobile media playing device, the the PSP Go could intrigue you. However, if you already own a PSP-1000, PSP-2000, and most especially a PSP-3000, the Go is most likely worth passing on until a true PSP2 is released. I'm going to try to approach this review... Read more
