Excerpt: I only wanted this system for Silent Hill: Origins. I did not want to pay the hefty price for a system with only one great game so I patiently waited for the price to come down. I also entered codes in the Bagel Bites contest. Imagine my surprise when I was an instant winner! I bought the game and readied myself for fun on the PSP...and was dissapointed. The screen is too small to be an effective survival horror vehicle.
Excerpt: I bought this when it first came out and it worked fine for about a month then it just wont turn on! when i plug it in the charging light comes on but it wont turn on still! i took it back into fred meyers and they said my one month warrenty was up! i cant figure out why it wont turn on. permanetly died on me!
Summary: The package I received was Not the 'original packaging' as advised, instead a cardboard box with soft foam inside, and a loosely placed psp and charger. The psp is also the wrong colour, being a disgusting baby blue instead of the black I paid for. I expect to get either the correct psp sent to me that was advertised, or to get my money back. This is ridiculous.
Summary: Buttons got stuck completely and device become unusable in less than a month after purchase. It took one hour to find out how to return this device to a repair centre. If you go to official UK Playstation website there is no such link like "Warranty" or "Repairs" like on a US website. Update: Amazon did great as usual - immediately replaced the device to a new one.
Summary: Whilst the concept of the PSP and the 'Slim and Lite' version is fabulous, the quality and customer service of Sony are poor. I was given this console 15months ago. The machine has not been used excessively and I have taken care of it, yet the screen just went wonky during play the other day. I contacted Sony and was told any repairs would be for me to pay given the PSP is 3 months outside the 12month warranty.
