  • Excerpt: When I first got the PSP it had just come out. At the time about two years ago it was the best thing I had.. I couldn't get my eyes and attention off of it.  The games I got had me going for days without stooping. After I got the movies it was even better.. I used it a lot for traveling. It took up little space, and it was like a mini computer. The good thing about it was the size and abilities it had, and has  but now they are even better.

My son LOOOOVES his PSP

  • Excerpt: My husband got a PSP for our four, now five, year old for christmas. He loved the Xbox and Xbox 360 so I didn't know if he would even want to play the PSP. He loves it though. I find it much harder to figure out than the Xbox, but I'm bad at anything like that! My son seems to have no problems whatsoever. It's great for taking in the car and to events where it would otherwise be hard for a child to sit still.

Very good portable device

  • Excerpt: I must admit it I think it is a bit overpriced, you can get an entire game console for a little bit more. But I guess you pay for the convenience of the portability of the device. The games for the PSP usually have great graphics and in general are pretty fun. The best part of the PSP is it has many functions.

GET A PSP NOT A DS

  • Excerpt: I am sick and tired of everyone getting a DS. The PSP trumps that console in almost every aspect. First of all, the PSP has much better graphics and games. It actually has the graphics power to run real game not retarded mini games (cough...cough... DS). It is also a lot more versatile being able to run all kinds of movies and files as well as it fosters a huge home brew community that has come up with several cool add-ons.

  • Excerpt: I got my psp not that long ago and i love it. My kids have had ever since they come out and the are always begging me to buy them new games. These amazing little systems can fit in your pocket and are extremely portable. It has built in Wi-Fi for all you business people in need of some inernet. With a 1 gigabit memory on all of the newer models you can save up to 500 songs. You could also save 8hrs of movies or shows.

I'm very upset with the results

  • Excerpt: I'm very upset b/c i just purchased a 3rd PSP for my son. The first got misplaced, the 2nd totally just stopped working a month after the warranty expired.  And now the 3rd one that i just got 3 wks has stopped loading the games. I'm so pissed b/c they are $200.00 and they are clearly not worth it.  If my child didn't love it so much i wouldn't even bother with it.

  • Excerpt: THis year I purchased a PSP ( Portable Playstaion) for both of my children for their birthday and they absolutly love them.  I have no ideas all the stuff the PSP's can actually do, I thought they just played games.  But there is so much more, The PSP can be used as a MP3 player so both kids have all their favorite music loaded on a memory card and just pop it in,  The kids can browse the internet but for my daughter there is a block on exactly how much she can do on the...

Not as good as my Playstation 2.

  • Excerpt: I got a PSP (PlayStation Portable) for Christmas last year.  It is a one person game.  You can get cheat codes off the Internet for the PSP just like you can for a PlayStation, PlayStation 2, or PlayStation 3.  You can take the PSP anywhere you want.  The games are about the same for the PSP but they are more durable.  They are not in the CD form, but instead they are like little boxes that load into the top of the game.

Lack of second analog stick is a dealbreaker

KingTotoro, Viewpoints
18 August 2007
  • Excerpt: Yes this is a portable device. Yes this is designed to be compact. So yes it is understandable that there isn't a second analog stick. But with the types of games being pushed on this console and the polished graphics this console can put out... isn't it kind of a given that you want good controls to go with that game system? There are a lot of beautifully rendered first person shooter games that are near unplayable.
