Excerpt: I recently bought myself a Sony PSP, as I have always been a fan of the Sony PlayStation, and PS2 (to be honest, I only got the PSP because I didn't have enough money for the PS3) I bought the new slim and lite version, only to find that a few weeks later, the new model, the PSP 3000, has been announced.. But that's besides the point. Am I happy with my PSP? Was it worth the money? Should I have just kept saving for a PS3?
Not as innovative as the DS but great for traditional gaming on the go.

Excerpt: I first saw a PSP in a small independent shop in my home town that sold any thing and everything games related, from second hand consoles and games to merchandise and even full size arcade cabinets. In addition to this they sold imports, games, consoles etc etc. I was in the shop looking for games for my N64, and whilst I was browsing I noticed a device, sitting in a display cabinet, which I had never seen before, and being someone who doesn't spend money on gaming...
A handheld console i would reccommend to people of seven and up.

Excerpt: Ok when this baby first came out i rushed and brought one and though wow this is going to kick the DS into touch!!. I got my PSP with a fifa 06 i think it was luminees (great game) and lemmings with the one gig memory card. It is great to browse the internet and view photos on but the umd movie format died a death but no matter you can get ipod formattted movies to work on it. happy days. But as a games console it is very lacking in games well let me repharse that..
Excerpt: We have used Sony Playstations quite a bit over the years and have owned various versions. we have always been very happy and so we were more than happy to give the PSP a go. We were torn between the PSP and the Nintendo DS Lite. I have to say that in my opinion the DS Lite wins. I like the dual screen aspect of it and I find it much easier to control and navigate. I also like the touch screen on the DS Lite. However, the PSP is a decent handheld console.
A GOOD LITTLE CONSOLE BUT DOESN'T QUITE MATCH THE DS.

Excerpt: Sony Playstation portable is probably the leading handheld console on the market. However in my opinion it is not the best. I have a PSP and Nintendo DS lite and i think that out the two the DS probably comes out on top. Don't get me wrong the PSP is a great console and you have a wider choice of games. And the PSP graphics are much better.
The PSP is a feature-packed, multimedia powerhouse, but beware of low battery life.

Excerpt: The PSP is a multimedia powerhouse from sony, and I paper at least it beats the Nintendo DS hands on. The PSP combines gaming, music playback, video playback, photo viewing and internet browsing all in one compact (ish) device. If you are a PS3 owner there is an added bonus, but I'll get onto that in a bit. The PSP's main purpose is gaming and in this respect it is almost easier to compare it to a Playstation 2 than a Nintendo DS.
Excerpt: The sony Playstation Portable (PSP) is a hand held games console with similar graphics to the Playstation 2 (PS2) giving you a great console for journeys, traveling and also for general entertainment. It has a wide screen in the middle of a Playstation 2 type controller with the same buttons consisting of the Triangle, square, x, and circle also right, left, down and up and also R and L.
