Excerpt: "...my husband loved it. The Sega is so loved by him because of the nostalgia associated with it. The down-side of this is that there is no official support due to Sega only making games now and discontinuing the Megadrive line, so no new games. That said, there are loads of games to choose from in spite of this. The instructions consist of two steps: 1 ) plug in the console and controller 2) push game firmly into the slot until it clicks 3) switch ...
Pros: Cheap, nostalgia, suitable for children, easy to use .
Summary: Was very concerned buying this as old consul and never sure if going to be in good working order or condition. This works great and we had a wonderful Christmas teaching youngsters how hard the old games were to complete.Worth every penny
Summary: This might seem a bit bizarre, writing a review about a 20 year old console when the shelves have just been stocked with the new X-Box One and PS4 consoles, but believe it or not this is my current weapon of choice and I'm having a ball! The Mega Drive has been around since the late 1980's - early 90's on our shores - and was Sega's first foray into 16 bit gaming following on from the 8-bit Master System. Pros: Good fun, a great insight to where todays games came from.

Anyway I digress, after getting hold of Ghouls and Ghosts the next title I got was Thunderforce 3 a blinding Technosoft shooter with amazing ...
Pros: Great system, lots of fun, collectable, better than the mass produced generic rubbish of today
Cons: if you buy a JAP system remember all the text is in Japanese, including the endings ( :

Summary: The Sega Megadrive was the console to have, the games were so fun and addictive to play and you would never get bored of them. If you no longer have your console, it no longer works or never knew what the fuss was about, buy one and you won't regret it. You will still waste hours on this console. If you have problems with your mega drive and/or games not playing look into cleaning the contacts for the games and inside the megadrive.
