Excerpt: It's been awhile since I played the dreamcast but when I did I had played the SONIC game it had and easily fell in love with it. The graphics then were great but don't really remeber it. I was a child and my uncle never really let me play it because he was afraid I'd mess it up so it must have been worth keeping to himself because now it's gone and doesn't seem like it's coming back oh well... Excerpt: The Sega Dreamcast, A true system that was out before its time, The console had some great games and some great frachises but the promise of a dvd player included in the Playstation 2 scared people off. Even today the dreamcast is still a great console.
Excerpt: This was such agreat game I miss and wish it cam back. I have not played a lot of video games lately, but when all the energy surrounding PS2 and xbox started, it got my video game juices raging again. I was thinking I would get my hands on a PS two, but I didn't. Then I began to look at reviews online about this console.Everyone said that it's better than the Pstwo and the graphics for the system are amazing.
Excerpt: This was the 1st system I had after the old school sega genesis. When I 1st got it, I loved it due to all the fighting games and all the classic games it had for it such as marvel vs capcom, marvel vs capcom 2, capcom vs snk, street fighter alpha and so on. The games had awsome graphics and great load times but the thing is since they stopped making the system when I got it so a lot of the great games I either had to find used for a good price or pay exorbitant prices...
Excerpt: Probably one of the best gaming systems i've ever owned. I spent countless hours playing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (totally the definitive version of the game outside of the arcade.), Sonic, Shenmue, Crazy Taxi, etc. I've spent many days with sore thumbs. The dreamcast, even though no longer in production, is still a great investment for anyone who wants a memorable gaming experience.
Excerpt: In 1999, SEGA released a very fun video Game console known as the Sega Dreamcast. The Sega Dreamcast was a very powerful system for its time. 128 bits, support for 5 million polygons on screen at once, online gaming, and huge gaming experience was just the beginning of the Dreamcast's legacy. The Dreamcast was very original for its time, and implemented a lot of aspects of gaming you and I may take for granted today.
Excerpt: Sega Dreamcast last ever game console for their company. This is a good console all in all. It didn't last long at all . The graphics were good as good as ps2 in my opinion you could also purn games on audio cds and play. They have some very funny games as well. AS con is it is no longer available in gaming stores like gamestop you would have to gon Amazon.com or ebay to purchase this console. This is a classic console in every sense of the word.
Excerpt: The eternal console 'Dreamcast' will always be in my heart..with a debut when the ps2 , original xbox ,and nintendo 64 came out making its way to the top overpassing ps2,xbox grafics in gameplay the dreamcast became one of the most favorite consoles in game fans the lack of games and the easyness of playing backups on the console made sega sell their company real sad indeed but for the few games they released gamers had a lot to look up to with some of the best titles...
Excerpt: It was September 9th, 1999, a date Sega used as a corner stone in its advertisment to promote its upcoming console, the long awaited Dreamcast. It boasted the best launch line-up of any video game console in history and out to make a name for itself as the best console ever released, and thats just what it did. Unfortunatly, the world was not ready the Dreamcast and it was dead with-in two years.
Excerpt: Sega Dreamcast has now cult status among hardcore gamers. Originally released in 1998, it wasn't that big hit by reason of small marketing by Sega. The console is very well designed: a bit futuristic look, simple and quite small. Although the controller looks awkward at first, it fits really well to your hands. And memory cards are placed inside your controller, how cool is that! Dreamcast has also built-in modem, but it's pretty useless today.
