Summary: You really can't go wrong with this one. I won't repeat the details that others have already written about (quality of this thing still amazes me). The key point is this:: you will be overwhelmed by the amount of options available to play, especially if you are into emulation. I don't do PC gaming, and am a casual gamer. Even then, having PS1/PSP emulators, SNES games opens up a huge library of high quality games. Android games: Android games have also come a long way.
Summary: Way awesome. I've had multiple portable game systems and none are on the wields level I love mine and highly recommend it especially if you take frequent road trips. I bought mine for just that reason and ended up using it everyday.GTA San Andreas, half life 2, the walking dead, and mount and blade warband absolutely rock on this system.
Summary: To be straight forward; If you view this as an android gaming device with the added ability to gamestream, you will enjoy your experience with the shield. If you are purchasing it as a device that does gamestream with android gaming on the side, you will have a bad time. More on that later. For an android device, this thing is wonderful. It plays every game that is thrown at it. Games like portal and half life have been ported to the device as well.
This is great for emulation especially playstation one emulation

Summary: This is great for emulation especially playstation one emulation. What suprised me the most is the beta app that allows Nvidia to stream full PC games to your shield with almost zero latency. Please note you can also stream content from your local pc if it has a compatible GTX graphics card. So i can play ps2 games from the pc to my shield, and play games like Final Fantasy XIV.
Love It, But Do Your Homework. The Truth is Out There :)

Summary: I received my Shield Portable about 5 hours ago and had to put it down to make dinner for my husband. I had seen the advertisement for this on the NVIDIA site when I went to update the driver on my video cards for my computer. I was mildly excited but talked myself out of it due to the 'lack of games' that I saw in some reviews.
Excerpt: I have a PS Vita, and 3Ds and this trashed them all! First lets talk about the device itself, the grip feels just like the Xbox 360 controller, the buttons and triggers are high quality, the sticks works the way they should (unlike the usual android extension controllers like ipega), the screen is 720p which is kinda lower than the standard 1080p you get these days, but its still a pretty screen.
Summary: Let me begin by saying this device blew away my expectatins. I have been reading reviews on it since it came out back in the middle of 2013. At $300.00 and with mid range reviews, I certainly was not going to spend that kind of money. However the price went down to $200.00 and the shield tablet came out.
Summary: Came in better shape than advertised. Was certainly used, as it had the previous owners Google account still on it, and logged in. I wiped it right away, but a less scrupulous person could have done serious damage. Also, had a Micro SD card already in the system from the previous owner, with some... less than family friendly content on it. Wiped that immediately, then got rid of the card.
