Excerpt: When I first heard about the Nintendo Wii, I have to say I was very excited. The concept of the motion sensor controller seemed cool; a change of scenery from the usual game controller. In addition, obtaining a Wii was very rare and you were considered rather lucky if you could get your hands on this item. A year or two later I finally had the oppurtunity to get one. My first thoughts were very simple.
Excerpt: Nunchuks are required for most Wii games so we were limited to what we could play without them. We have had a lot of trouble with Nunchuks over the past 18 months. They just seem to stop working for no apparent reason and the only solution is to buy new ones. We have tried taping the Nunchuk/Controller connection and putting new batteries in the Controller but this only works some of the time.
Excerpt: I own the orignal Wii fit and Wii Fit Plus. I have used it off and on for a couple of years now. The program has several different ways you can exersize, yoga, strength, araboics and balance games. The Yoga is pretty good you get more of a work out than you think. I have taken some yoga over the years and find this to be chalanging and very similiar to what was in the classes. What is missing is the feeback from an instructor.
Excerpt: So what can I say? Nintendo has a long standing legacy of great consoles and great games. I had everything from the NES, SNES to the Nintendo 64. So enter the Wii into our latest generation. I really don't like it much, when compared to it's competitors, Sony's Playstation III and Microsoft's Xbox 360. The graphics are really nice, but I just cannot stand the joysticks! I can't get use to the way it feels, and how I have to actually get physical when I'm playing.
Excerpt: It's disappointing to see a product that revolutionized video games go down like this and get beat up by the PS3 Move and Kinect. When the Wii first came out, I was impressed but it turned out to be a console that's only fun when guests are over. Instead of releasing more innovations or additions to the Wii, Nintendo decided to release more colors in hopes of gaining more sales. Now they are in third place again with Microsoft and Sony in the lead.
Excerpt: In a word, Gimmick. The nintendo wii is essentially a toy, with only a few above average games and ALLOT of overpriced, simplistic, terrible games. The games that are good are amazing, but after you've played them your left wondering what to do with them. You can keep it for the once in awhile you play them, or sell it and never play it again. Now if your new to gaming, you're probably going to love this, but a hardcore gamer will be left wishing for more.
