Summary: There are a lot of places you can learn about the Wii U. So in the beginning of my review I'm going to talk about whether you want the regular or the deluxe. And I'm here to tell you: maybe you don't have to buy the deluxe. I've checked it out and here is the deal. The Deluxe gives you: 1) 24 GB more memory than a basic. Of course, you can add a cheap USB drive and duplicate this.
Summary: Great News. Today (4/30/2013) Nintendo released an update that resolved a lot of the problems that the Wii U had. My personal favorite is that you can now download and install games in the background and fully automatically. Yes, it should have been like that since the beginning. Three cheers! I've updated my review to reflect this new information.
Excerpt: The Wii U sports a new tablet-like controller that allows developers to come up with all new ways to control your games. Unfortunately, developers don't seem to know what to do with it and only Nintendo themselves publish games that really take advantage of the controller in unique ways. The console suffers from lack of third party support like its predecessor.
Excerpt: As I'm writing this, the Wii U is still a fairly new console. So while my review isn't full of many positive things yet, give it some time. Once its game library grows, it will be a great console. The price of the product is probably its biggest downfall right now. It is VERY expensive, especially given the fact that there are hardly any worthwhile games out there right now. So I'd recommend you wait until the system is more established (and has more Mario/Zelda games!
Excerpt: I've always been a Nintendo follower but I am just looking for it to really top it with their new systems and I am sort of disappointed. The Super Mario brothers game so far is not that challenging and doesn't bring anything new to the brand and Nintendo land is really generic. We've been through all of the mini games and are bored to tears. I am glad we didn't actually PAY for that.
Excerpt: I was hoping this would be a great system to play with, but it has been nothing short of a big headache. I did wait a little bit to get the system just before X-Mas, it was pretty much the same as the old Wii, just added HDMI & a second screen controller. I find it hard to play games on with the new controller & it's not as fun as the Wii that we have used for yrs.
Summary: The product was ok but not exactly Nintendo Wii U was just a normal Nintendo Wii. Maybe some seller don't know well what they are selling. I brought this for my grandson and told me it is not Wii U.
Summary: I ordered this for a friend for her birthday but when she received it, I was informed (and then later shown) that there's two rather large holes on the amazon packaging, one of which I could literally fit my hand into which obviously leads me to believe someone has tried to tamper with it. I hope this is just a one off as this has never been an issue before.
Limited, but good, and has great potential... maybe.

Summary: PROS: Some great games, like Zombiu, Mario Bros, Batman Arkham City, and Lego City. Really enjoy these, and keep coming back to them. Great graphics, and the gamepad really does add to gameplay by acting as a second screen. Loads of potential too, and some more great games coming. Gamepad is great for surfing the web too. Miiverse is great for talking with others about a new game. CONS Not enough games!
