Summary: My children want a game system and the other systems out there are built more for teens and adults. Nintendo Game Cube has alot of games for children 12 and younger to choose from that increase their dexterity as well as confidence in their own abilities!
Summary: My 10-year old son loves the Game Cube. I love it because it didn't cost a fortune but still has incredible graphics and ease of operation. A dvd player would only add to the cost and add a feature younger video gamers don't need.
Pros: small, portable
Cons: not enough games available (but more are being released), accessories not available
Summary: The gamecube is a pretty nice system. At first there were not a lot of games, but over the past year they have added some nice titles. I noticed a lot of the sports games (which I almost play exclusively) don't have all the rules in place, or don't use the rule properly (Madden and challenging a play is just an example). I think for the amount the games cost they could be produced a little better.
Pros: A lot of the games are geared towards young kids.
Cons: A lot of the games are geared towards young kids.
A Fun System but Doesn't Compare to its Competition.

Excerpt: This marks Nintendo's fourth Console, known as the Gamecube. I'll be reviewing in five different categories, Design, Controller, Graphics, Multiplayer, and Game Library. The design of the system is actually pretty good. The Gamecube is small and light and isn't as bulky as its two competitors (the PS2 and Xbox). It is a small square shaped system with four controller slots. The Gamecube is the first console to use to mini-cd's for its games.
Pros: Fun Games, Good Regular Multiplayer and Good Graphics Overall
Summary: A very underrated console, this had some of my favorite games of the previous generation... At least pick up Smash Bros! I freely admit, it didn't have nearly the library of games that the PS2 had, but that doesn't mean it didn't have some great ones! At the current Gamestop price tag of 20USD, you really don't have much room to bitch.
Excerpt: OK, the Gamecube was a console that I bought a few years back. After that, most of my friends had Playstation 2s which had more popular games and more power in the console itself. The console itself is an odd design, being a cube instead of the usual cuboid shaped console, and has a handle for easy carrying (for whatever reason) and comes in many colours such as purple, black, platinum, with the standard being purple.
Good if you are looking for a console on the cheap.

Excerpt: The Nintendo Gamecube hasn't had any games released for it for a while so it can basically be described as dead due to the release of the Wii. I am reviewing it now because you can pick up used consoles for as low as twenty pounds and games for about a fiver each so if you are looking for a cheap option or a games console for a child who is not interested in any of the more modern options, then this is a good choice.
Summary: At $100, way to expensive. I bought mine used for $20. Honestly, thats all I think its worth now. Not too many 3rd party games and games are still more expensive then the system. If you want to play GC games and get get your hands on a used $20 one, just get the Wii. At 150 more, your getting so many more features even though imo, the Wii is also overpriced.
