Nintendo Game Boy Advance is a sixth generation handheld game console developed by Nintendo. It is the successor to the Game Boy Color in Game Boy handheld video game console line. It was released for retail on March 21, 2001 in Japan; June 11, 2001 in North America; June 22, 2001 in Australia; and June 22, 2001 in Europe.

The Game Boy Advance is built with ARM7TDMI, 16.78 MHz as its CPU with embedded memory; 32 kilobytes plus 96 kilobyte VRAM (internal to the CPU), 256 kilobyte WRAM (external to the CPU) of memory; and geared with Custom 2D core for graphics that generates 240 x 160 pixels on its 2.9 inches reflective thin-film transistor (TFT) colour LCD screen. It supports 5-bit RGB (16-bit color space using 5 bits depth per channel) which is capable of displaying 512 simultaneous colours in “character mode” and 32,768 simultaneous colours in “bitmap mode”. It uses cartridge media. Also, it is compatible with Game Boy and Game Boy Color games is provided by an 4/8 MHz Z80 co-processor, while a link port at the top of the unit allows it to be connected to other devices via use of a Nintendo Game Link cable or GameCube cable. There are several accessories developed for Game Boy Advance including Wireless Adapter, Game Boy Advance Infra-Red Adapter, Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance Cable, Play-Yan, e-Reader, Game Boy Advance Video and cleaning cartridge. The Game Boy Advance measures approximately 3.2 inches (81 mm) x 5.69 inches (145 mm) x 0.97 inches (25 mm) and weighs approximately 140 grams (5 ounces). It uses two AA batteries to supply its power.
