Excerpt: So I really liked this when it first came out I thought it was so cool that it had the camera and the little voice recorder on it but unfortuanently once we got it home we realized that it only plays the new DS games and all of the other games we had were useless. Nintendo was doing good and had it figured out until this one, they added new features but took away the features that we want left on there.
Excerpt: I have purchased 3 different Nintendo DSI systems in the past 2 years and this product although is more attractible to younger kids is not in my opinion made to stand for children under 10 . It has nice features but the game play slot gets broken too easy , if even a little bit of dust gets in the slot you will not be able to play games on it anymore and cleaning it out won't fix the problem.
Summary: Although the Nintendo DSi is good in many ways, it has many major fall backs. The first of these is the graphics: they are terrible. Although I didn't expect them to quite as good as the iPod Touch with the retina display, they have really let me down. All the text on the screen is often pixelated, along with the graphics. Sometimes this pixelation can get so bad that some text is impossible to read. Another problem with the DSi is the limited choice of games.
Excerpt: on some posts but still nothing it keeps ginivg me the same problem. Is the problem my controller, the tv set up (if so how do I fix this problem because I don`t know how to access the HDMi setup screen on the playstation because the controller isn`t responding. When I plug in the controller I notice that all 4 lights on the top flash and then light number one will be the only one lit up but then I notice it starts to flash. So maybe I`m not pairing it correctly.
Excerpt: "DSi - This is basically an exact replica of the forerunner DS, with one pointless addition. A camera. If there was one thing I'd say needed to added to the DS, it would be a bigger screen and better graphics. Not a poor quality camera. The new DSi is exactly the same as the older DS in technical terms - ie It has the same graphics, sound and speed. Surely if you wanted to take pictures and fiddle with them to make them funny you would use an actual ...
Pros: Appeals to the majority as it is simple to use
Cons: The camera is a pointless addition - DSi is exactly the same specs as DS
Summary: Overall, the DSi is bad. VERY bad. On the Wii, you can get Channels for free that do stuff, but on the DSi you have to pay for them. WHAT? And NO GBA slot? I have lots of GBA games. And the Store? FAIL. No DSi carts yet. I am never getting one of these. P.S All the other reviews are fake.
Pros: Camera editing and cameras
Cons: Need new app for every new feature as opposed to updates,no GBA Adv. slot, terrible store games, no DSi specific game carts.
Summary: When the DSi first came out you were paying £149.99 for just the console on it's own, but the price is dropping very quickly, £20 cheaper than that already in some shops, while other shops have decided to bundle and chuck in games and accessory packs for no extra cost. Is the cost worth it? The DS Lite hasn't dropped much, with most shops still selling it for just under £100.
Pros: Same as the DS Lite, a nice camera for gimmicky use, more processnig power
Cons: Extra cost with few functional extra benefits
