Nintendo Wii Charge Station

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: There are quite a few peripherals for our favorite video game systems. Family Friendly Gaming is going to cover some in a way to assist you in which ones are smart buys, and which ones to stay away from. The first piece of hardware we are reviewing is the Nintendo Wii Charge Station from Nyko. This little machine is just what the doctor ordered for those of us who are going through batteries like they are water.

Nintendo DS

PC Magazine
7 April 2008
  • Conclusion: The Nintendo DS is an excellent portable gaming platform. The clamshell design protects the two high-quality displays and the unit itself is well constructed. Backward compatibility with GBA cartridges is a plus.
  • Pros: Two beautiful screens (the bottom one is touch-sensitive) and stereo simulated surround sound give the Nintendo DS the most immersive portable gaming experience around. Built-in wireless connectivity so you can play against or communicate with friends.
  • Cons: Larger and heavier than the GBA SP. Battery life could be longer, as it may not last an entire school day.

Mario Kart DS

Just RPG
22 November 2007
  • Excerpt: Mario Kart DS is a very well-produced title, as is expected from first-party titles from Nintendo. Mario Kart DS , the 5th installment in this 10-year-old series, is probably the best of them all. Incredibly tight controls, amazing 3D engine, and wireless multiplayer add up to create an unforgettable Mario Kart experience. As in every first party Nintendo game, the production values are very high.

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Strategy Informer
6 January 2007
  • Conclusion: That's my overall stance with the game as a whole really - if you're expecting a game that's going to blow Ocarina of Time out of the water, you'll be disappointed, but as far as handheld video games go, this is a must have if you're a DS owner. Top of the line DS graphics, a captivating musical score, and enough gameplay features to keep you entertained until the release of Mario Party DS. Plus, with a price tag of only $35? Come on now, who can argue with that?

Nintendo DS

Game Boyz
15 December 2006
  • Excerpt: Nintendo is set to yet again hit the trenches for portable gaming supremacy. With the announcement that Sony is launching the PSP later this year in Japan Nintendo had to prepare for another company to challenge their dominance. It has been well documented over the past decade or so that many challengers have come and gone (Sega's Game Gear, Neo Geo's Portable Machine, Atari Lynx, etc.) and Nintendo has remained on top.

Super Mario 64 DS

Portable Review
16 August 2005
  • Excerpt: Platformers are decent launch titles that are frequently only as good as their main characters. For some messed up reason, people go gaga over this fat Italian plumber guy. Furthermore, his compatriots are even dumber characters with no real goal or purpose. Reguardless of this fact, the cast of Nintendo's flagship series always manage to present amazing games.
