Summary: I bought this during the Black Friday sale. If you are looking for a cheap alternative to the 3DS and still like to play some GBA games from time to time, the DS Lite is for you. I personally bought this system so I could play the new Pokemon games, since I have been restricted to the first 3 generations. So far, the system is working perfectly. There are a few scratches on the screen and some wear on the outside, but I personally like that "rugged" look.
Summary: I got this in February, and it was great...for a few months. Then a piece broke off on the hinge. I admit, I've dropped it many times (including one from a few feet, and on the road), but I expected better. I should've just waited until the dsi came out, or bought a used one. The sound is scratchy, and the battery life is short. A problem with the color is that they don't sell replacement styluses in metallic rose. I think that the good games are made by electronic arts.
Summary: 4.25/5 (8.5/10) There's no question that when it comes to handhelds, Nintendo is dominate. They've come out with the GameBoy, the GameBoy Color, the GameBoy Advance, and now the DS (and DS Lite). The DS brings many new innovations, but is not perfect by far. The Good Of course, the main innovations of the DS are the dual screens and the touch control. The touch control has been used to give a new spin to games that we know so well.
Pros: Tight controls, Innovative concepts, Just plain fun
Summary: I was skeptical when I first read the articles citing adults were buying the DS and games like Brain Age to stay "sharp". I am glad I bought one (along with Brain Age, Chess Master, Spanish and others). I find it has been a valuable tool to exercise my mind "outside of work" and also a welcome break from the daily torture of sitting at a computer all day.
Summary: This is one game that was especially made for the Wii. It is a first person adventure, not a shooter with some puzzles. I am ashamed that the score from Gamepro wasn't higher, because this was a great game. The motion sensing was great, and quite responsive. The only real flaw were the extra characters. Retro didn't need them, and it strayed it off course a little. But that's it. The shooting controls and turning was great for a shooting game on the Wii.
Summary: this is a good handheld and have some pretty good games but for some reason i got bored of it but i do play is sometimes its a good hanheld sure it has crappy graphics but graphics arent everything games are and this has alot of good games
Summary: Not perfect, but this gaget can be fun for kids of all ages. Of course it is only as good as the games you buy for it ( by itslef it dosn't do much, so when you buy this remeber to buy a game as well ). It will play your old Game Boy Advance games bt ONLY in single player mode - it will not connect in any way to any other gameboy 9 but it is supposed to connect to the Wii).
Summary: i agree that the new ds is better but i think it should have came with new features like an mp3 player maybe because i don't know the point of the hedphone jack on the lite or extend the range of the picto chat so we could talk to other people from anywhere any time but in terms of looks it is really good
