Excerpt: I got this Nintendo DS last 2007 as a Christmas gift from my husband which is a black color. I got hooked playing with this product because I enjoyed playing the games like the chess game and my old time favorite “how old is your brain”.
Summary: I bought this during the Black Friday sale. If you are looking for a cheap alternative to the 3DS and still like to play some GBA games from time to time, the DS Lite is for you. I personally bought this system so I could play the new Pokemon games, since I have been restricted to the first 3 generations. So far, the system is working perfectly. There are a few scratches on the screen and some wear on the outside, but I personally like that "rugged" look.
Summary: I picked up 2 of these black Recharged Refurbished from 2 different stores during the 49.99 sale. They come sealed in a box from the factory. Both looked and play brand new, they were even plastic wrapped to hold in place. All of the used systems I looked at, have scratches and marks. Everything about a Recharged is better then used except one thing. The recharged systems are missing the gba slot cover.
Summary: I got this ds lite this past saturday from my Mom who played it very little and didn't want it anymore. It is like new and lots of fun to play my few GBA games I have on it.It makes GBA games look alot better. The screen is alot brighter than the GBA SP I have. The graphic's are good for most games remember this is a portable system not a console so it can't ever have the memory or graphic capabilities on a console but it is exellent.I love it currently playing Sid Meiers...
Summary: If you want to enjoy this DS Lite, make sure you do your research. Multiple things can go wrong because Gamestop has applied the "refurbish" tag onto this product when in reality all they did was repackage the system. Refurbished gives us, the buyer, the idea that this was a used system, brought back to almost perfect condition (or mint). But that wasn't the case with my purchases.
