Liten Up Baby, I'm in Love with You Music, movies, and other multimedia applications aside, no one can touch Nintendo in the world of portable gaming. From the first Game Boy in 1989, the intuitive user interface, the addictive gameplay, and the cutting-edge hardware design ensured that seemingly every man, woman, and child on the planet would essentially buy at least six of each new handheld model, based on Nintendo's most recent sales figures. It may look like it hasn’t been refreshed in four years, but the new PSP-3000 has a brighter screen and is 33 percent lighter and 19 percent thinner than the original model. You can download and play classic titles from your PS3, browse the Web over Wi-Fi, and play back media off a Memory Stick. Pity that the PS2-like game lineup is still so weak. Read more

    • Best games. Most creative interface. 19-hour battery life. WiFi multiplayer action is easy to set up.

Nintendo loves to reinvent their handheld video game consoles, and we'd probably make fun of them if they weren't so good at it. Take their new DS Lite, for example. This handheld video game console is better than the original in almost every way, and yet Nintendo is selling it for the same price. Read more

No gap when closing the system keeps dust, coins and other undesirables inside your pocket from scratching your screens. Finally, the system’s new outer shell gives it more of a high technology feel than the previous design. Read more

While you wouldn't want to dispense with the DS's physical keypad and control buttons, adding motion sensors like those in the iPhone - or even the Wiimote come to that - would add a whole new dimension to gaming on the DS. Finger tip control on the touchscreen, perhaps with haptic feedback, would also help bring the DS up to date. So what should Nintendo do now? Read more

I'm a big nintendo fan and have owned all of the major consoles. I also owned a gameboy advance but wasn't too happy with it or the game selection.
