Liten Up Baby, I'm in Love with You Music, movies, and other multimedia applications aside, no one can touch Nintendo in the world of portable gaming. From the first Game Boy in 1989, the intuitive user interface, the addictive gameplay, and the cutting-edge hardware design ensured that seemingly every man, woman, and child on the planet would essentially buy at least six of each new handheld model, based on Nintendo's most recent sales figures. It may look like it hasn’t been refreshed in four years, but the new PSP-3000 has a brighter screen and is 33 percent lighter and 19 percent thinner than the original model. You can download and play classic titles from your PS3, browse the Web over Wi-Fi, and play back media off a Memory Stick. Pity that the PS2-like game lineup is still so weak. Read more

Nintendo loves to reinvent their handheld video game consoles, and we'd probably make fun of them if they weren't so good at it. Take their new DS Lite, for example. While you wouldn't want to dispense with the DS's physical keypad and control buttons, adding motion sensors like those in the iPhone - or even the Wiimote come to that - would add a whole new dimension to gaming on the DS. Finger tip control on the touchscreen, perhaps with haptic feedback, would also help bring the DS up to date. So what should Nintendo do now? Read more

When I purchased the Nintendo DS and plugged it in, I expected to see cool touch screen innovations, and that's what I got. But what I wasn't expecting was a decent amount of above-average 3rd-party games and very good connectivity with friends. But wait! The only time I ever had a near-perfect multiplayer on Wi-Fi was when my friend and I were two feet away from our Wi-Fi signals. Read more

I'm a big nintendo fan and have owned all of the major consoles. I also owned a gameboy advance but wasn't too happy with it or the game selection. But the sole reasoning behind my purchase was that I could play it at work where I have a lot of down time. Read more
