Summary: The first day I received my 3ds is didn't work. It crashed constantly and wouldn't read any games. I soon found out it was a 3ds from a different country and I couldn't play any US games on it whatsoever.
Excerpt: The product is fine. But there was a sale for a free video game that came with the 3DS. When I got the package the video game was not in the box. When I called customer service, they said while supples last. No where on my receipt does it say while supplies last. I bought this gift assuming that Toys R Us would fulfill its advertisement. But I was wrong, and customer service was indifferent to the situation. Don't expect what is advertised!
Summary: I bought this console at the beginning of July and I enjoyed it while I had it. Essentially, I used it daily but obviously I did not throw it around. Nintendo consoles always seemed to last long, so perhaps I got a defected one. But just in case, I'd say beware and look for any problems in the first month because it has been too long to return mine.
Pros: Appear to be none for this product. Newegg handled RMA of the first one (reviewed below) very well.
Cons: So after returning the first one that died after a day, this one worked OK for about a month; error message then started popping up, seemed to be caused by wireless card. The nintendo website says the way to fix it is to update the system....which you can only do wirelessly....but if you turn the wireless card on, it crashes!!!
Summary: DO NOT BUY PREOWNED! i purchased a 3ds preowned for my sons christmas, was the only thing he asked for, along with a game for it. it is now christmas day and the games wont work, the pins in the gameslot are badly damaged and i will have to fork out more money to get it repaired. to say my son is absolutely devestated is an understatement, he is inconsolable.
