The Nintendo 3DS is a glass-free 3D game console. It features tilt-sensing and 3-D camera capabilities. The 3DS comes with a 3.5-inch 3D screen and a 3-inch touch screen below the 3D screen. This handheld gaming device comes with a slider on the side of the console just to control the 3D effect on the games played. It can also change the 3D effect to 2D. There’s also an analog control nub on the console. It also features one inner and two outer cameras to help take 3D shots. There’s also a motion sensor and a gyroscope inside which help to enhance 3D augmented reality applications. Nintendo has announced that soon they are looking forward to partner with Hollywood studios to offer 3D movies on this console. The 3DS also features dual cameras which can take 3D images. Based on earlier assumptions, the 3DS will have backwards compatibility that will be incorporated for DS and DSi games support. The device is powered by a Tegra chip. The Nintendo 3DS will release somewhere between late this year to early next year.
