  • Summary: I thought it would have the rechargable battery used with the charger cord that hooks to the xbox. It had 2 AA batteries. You can't charge that. I did put my rechargable battery from my old paddle with the messed up joystick, and I can use it with it. So it all worked out ok. That was my only problem.

Typical game controller nothing special about it

  • Summary: Battery life could be better. Control buttons and joy sticks could be sturdier to stand up to heavy play.

Quick delivery not as described

Trina L. Schindler, Amazon

  • Summary: We did receive the remote quickly, but it had a rechargeable battery pack. This was not described and we did not have a charger. I then had to buy the correct battery cover to make the remote usable since it was going to cost me $13 in shipping to return.

  • Summary: I purchased this item online despite reviews commenting about it being wrongly described. It clearly states this is a kit that includes a wireless controller along with a plug and play set but when I picked it up clerk gave me box with only the controller. Thankfully the manager was understanding and helping of the situation and I was given the plug and play. Don't know if previous customers were helped as I was so for that reason I can't recommend.

This Controller Shot Me

Douglas G., Newegg
4 April 2012
  • Summary: I have the MW3 version of the same controller and haven't had any problems with it. I suspect the first one was something of a fluke. Low quality plastic or such.
  • Pros: Looks nice, controls as advertised. Has made for a comical story months later.
  • Cons: While playing a game, the plastic holding the D-Pad in place sheared and the pad shot off and hit me in the face.

  • Pros: The controller feels nice and sturdy, definitely an improvement from the original models. The new D-pad switch is a nick gimmick, but I hardly ever use it.
  • Cons: The controller no longer holds a charge after two months of limited use, thus I have to either use batteries or keep the controller plugged in at all times. I spoke to Microsoft about this issue and they do not have a warranty / repair process for accessory items such as this.
