Summary: It's nice to have to play super nintendo games and if you don't want to use the wii remote for some reason. There's nothing special about this controller and nothing bad about it i use it just to play super nintendo games on my wii pretty much so that's what it's basically for so if you want to play super nintendo games on your wii then get this controller.
Excerpt: The Wii Classic controller allows you to step back in time and play games the old fashioned way. It does not use the motion sensing ability of the wii so no jiggling around is needed! Some of the new Wii games will specify on the back whether you can use the controller to play their game or not but many of the platform games available on the Wii shop need are suitable for the controller.
I recommend getting this particularly for football or shooting games.

Excerpt: I'm so glad I got this controller. I bought it about a year ago bundled with Monster Hunter Tri and I've never looked back. Since I purchased this controller I have used it for all of the wii games that it is compatible with. The game which it helps the most on is FIFA. If you have played FIFA on wii, you will know that the controls can be fiddly to say the least.
Excerpt: The nintendo wii classic controller is a different type of controller for the wii that doesn't use the motion sensing ability of the wii. This control is mainly designed for playing the old games (such as games from the nintendo 64) that can be brought from the wii shop. It can however be used with some new wii games if the game allows it. The design is nice and simple and is in line with the other designs of the wii and its accessories.
Pros: good design, makes virtual console games better
Cons: has to be connected to wii remote to be wireless
Excerpt: I bought this controller to help with the game play of the Wii's 'MonsterHunter Tri' game. It brings all the buttons and controls of the Wii remote and its nunchuk into one more conventional device. This is good for people who are used to that style of gaming, and also for the more complicated Wii games where the response of the Wii doesn't satisfactorily match your movements (or at least the ones you thought you made)!
Excerpt: I have to say the makers at Nintendo are more than impressive at their money making skills. With the Wii not only did they bring out lots of accessories to go with it but they also came up with the idea that different games would require different controllers - balance board, nunchuk, Wii remote...And then they brought out the classic controller for the Wii. The classic controller is just as it says it is - a classic controller.
Wii Classic Controller - Bad Nintendo design for one

Excerpt: The Nintendo Wii’s revolutionary controllers with their motion sensing capabilities changed the way games were played on the system but to cater for those gamers who preferred the classic style of controller Nintendo launched this, The Wii Classic Controller. Not only did it offer and alternative method of control on SOME games for those who didn’t like the thought of waving arms around to participate, but it also enabled Wii owners too play the classic titles on the Wii...
Pros: allows classic games to be played with classic controller
Cons: Annoying, too small, fiddly, requires plugged into wii mote
Summary: Bought this to play Mario Kart 64... and having played the updated Wii version, I'm not sure the old controller is really worthwhile - especially considering you need one controller per person.
Excerpt: Amazing? Good? Fine? I would say this controller is a very good choice for any Wii owner. The Wii console has a various amount of games meaning that this product will be perfect for some specific games. If you enjoy the old arcade styled platform games, this is the controller for you! If your a high speed racer who loves to race on racing games, this is even better!
Excerpt: The Nintendo classic controller is a wii remote accessory which is attatched into the slot in which you place the nunchuk. However, unlike the nunchuk, it is used on it's own and not in conjunction with the wii remote. The design is similair to that of the playstation controller. It has two analog sticks, a set of directional buttons, four buttons at the front an four buttons at the back.
Pros: comfortable, great for lots of wii games, well designed
