Excerpt: I have a few friends out there who own a Wii and every time I talk about the PS3 Move they claim that its just a cheap copy of the Wii. Yes in some ways they are true, both technologies are similar because you wave an expensive stick around in the living room, but thats about the only similarity. The Move offers so much more... fun. Isn't fun what video games are supposed to be for?
Pros: Fun, quick and easy to play, great for parties, responsive, good for exercise (makes you sweat)
Cons: Need big TV, big living room, need some friends, not many games, friends with Wii won't like you
Summary: I own this and play 2 games with it: Michael Jackson: The Experience and HPATDH:P2 (Harry potter and the deathly hallows: Part 2) and they are fun to play (if you like MJ and Harry Potter obv, but this review is about the controller). Anyway, the remote when playing a dance game (e.g. MJ) the controller needs to be in the exact position as shown on screen with excellent timing unlike the wii (which is 10 times easier than the PS3 version) and on HP the remote needs to be...
Pros: Easy to operate, bigger controller than the wii, sturdier than a wii remote, funny squidgy thing on top of remote that changes colour according to action in games, can be charged like a remote
Cons: Shape (it looks like a light up dildo), laggy, needs to be in a certain point for the camera to recognise it
Excerpt: Even though we have had a Wii for about 4 years I’ve never really taken the fitness element of the Wii fit too seriously. I’m not sure if this is because of the graphics or the types of games but for some reason I’ve struggled to really use it for fitness. As a result when we saw the Playstation Move in action we decided that it would be a much better alternative.
Pros: An excellent product that uses technology to enhance the gaming experience
Cons: Not a complete starter set as there are other elements that could have been included
Excerpt: In concept the move is a perfect combination of a Wii remote and Kinect giving players the precision of a controller but using a camera for visual interaction and full body tracking. In practice it could use some tweaking, the move users a series of accelerometers, angular rate sensors, magnetometers and an LED tracking system to turn in motion, velocity, rotation and position within 3D space.
Excerpt: So this review will go through why the Playstation Move is slightly better than the Wii. This new accessory for the Playstation 3 is meant to bring in more casual gamers into the market (just like Microsoft's Kinect is trying to do for the Xbox 360). Playstation Move succeeds. It succeeds mainly through the fact that it uses existing technology (the Playstation Eye picks up the gesture movements) and through the power of the PS3, gesture based gaming can be played in HD.
Pros: Much more accurate than the Wii Motionplus !
Excerpt: I bought the move for the playstation 3 for my fiance for Christmas. I didnt look into many reviews about this but wish I had. Hence the reason why I thought be best to get an opinion across on this. The starter kit comes complete with: Eye cam Motion controller x 1 Starter CD - includes mini games to try out and buy full game if like any It was very easy to install but quickly realised that one controller was not enough.
Excerpt: Sony's latest gimmick is the ps move which is basically the wii, with a camera instead of a sensor bar and a wiimote with a glowing ball on the top. So is this worth your money or is it just a cheap gimmick to attract more people to the ps3? Let's find out. To start off let's talk about the ps eye. This was first made of use with the eyepet game, which to no surprise has a move edition that i believe is already in stores.
Pros: much better then the wii, entertaining games
