Great stick, great software
Glenn Miller, Amazon
5 May 2015
Summary: This will be my second one of these.Great stick, great software....you can map any key or combo of keys with this. Count all the buttons and the switches, (the 3 switches on the lower part of the control stick are 2 position each so ,are really 6 switches) and the 3 position thumb wheel at the top...
Summary: I bought this to play Elite: Dangerous and I am very pleased I did. The construction feels great and having the ability to adjust the throttle resistance is a definite strength. One thing to keep in mind for those new to this kind of set up is that it feels the best when you use the suction cups to...
Summary: Leave deadzones alone to start and then as you use it a bit make sure to go in and adjust. I think that is part of any joystick though periodic recalibration is a good idea.
Pros: Lots of buttons, comfortable and feels good while flying. Lots of configuration options. I like that it has rudder in the stick itself so that I do not have to have separate pedals for that.
Cons: None really, make sure you download the latest drivers from the website from the time you receive it. Did not use the ones in the box. Also for some games you have to disable the clutch mode through the settings (I used it for elite dangerous and that took a bit of searching to figure out what wa...
very good controls and won't break the bank with the cost
MMH434 "MH", Amazon
20 January 2015
Summary: For Elite: Dangerous, very good controls and won't break the bank with the cost. I beleive you can get cheaper units, but it had a nice feedback to it, buttons are laid out very nice. Hopefully reliable and durable.
Summary: I knew due to price and other reviews that this is the Silver X52 and not the Pro version pictured. I think this is a really good setup and would recommend. It has many more easy-to-reach buttons than the single joystick setups and feels as if it will last.
Summary: This thing is great. I don't know how it has the bad reviews that it does. I really like it a lot! I had an x55, and it had a couple issues so I returned it. I was unsure if this joystick, being the same brand, would work for me.
Pros: Super nice quality HOTAS setup. I am really surprised, and I love it so far. I use it with Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen. Right out of the box it has a great, intuitive profile for Elite Dangerous. The stick is really smooth with quality buttons, and so is the throttle. I am super happy with t...
Cons: The only "con" I can think of is that it is light, so it is possible to scoot it if you really turn it hard. But if you're turning it hard, you're doing it wrong. Plus they include suction cups to keep it on the table. I don't need them though after just a few short sessions of use, even for the ...
Summary: Great buy. Just got Elite: Dangerous and it works perfectly. There were a few controls I remapped just for my personal preferences but I did not have any trouble with the drivers or anything. Running on Windows 8.1.
Summary: Bought this for Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, and future sims, and ultimately for the Oculus Rift. It's currently attached to my chair is the correct pilots positions and I absolutely love it. Looks really cool, everyone who sees it is always in awe.
