  • Summary: I recently bought a Saitek x52 Flight System for my first ever flight sim, And was very much excited to use it. Except it seems the joystick has major problems installing and being used, Just Google it there are forums all over saying how bad it is. And now I have to go through the pain of sending one back and finding something else. Long story short don't buy.

  • Summary: The picture shown on the item is a Saitek x52 Pro, which is what I wanted. What you are selling is a regular Saitek x52. Yes I should have read it better but why are you picturing a more expensive item to sell a cheaper one?

Garbage

James P., Newegg

  • Summary: there was a cheap logitec I really regret not buying.
  • Pros: Looks great.
  • Cons: Most of the dials sporadically give random imputs so must be disabled. the rudder is all or nothing in any software due to their pathetic drivers. Try to bypass them and loose functionality of the rudder.

Constant BSOD with FSX

Timothy W., Newegg
26 March 2013
  • Summary: This was one of the first 'Flight Stick' purchases I have ever made. I got it because I really got into FSX and X-Plane. I thought that it was a good middle range for a stick and I read a few good reviews for it. I also did want to pay $500 for a Warthog. I guess when it comes to flight sticks you really get what you pay for. In this case what I thought was a good purchase was nothing but a lemon. I should have went with the $500 Warthog.
  • Pros: Price point was right. It looks nice. Feels somewhat sturdy. Some buttons are not so sturdy. The rotary buttons under the LCD are hard to turn and you end up pressing them down to turn them which presses another function.
  • Cons: Wow, there are tons. First of all I get BSOD's when playing FSX. If I press the pinky button it crashes. Every time. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled to find the same thing. If I uninstall the software and play FSX I get no issue. The 'software' used to program the controller is junk. It really looks like something a 3rd year college student pieced together with VB 2008. It has about the same crash rate too. Put it this way, it would be easier to just go int...

Review of Saitek X52 Control System

Ross F. Bonny Jr., Amazon

  • Summary: I had to return it to the factory because the joystick had a tendency to 'stick' as I moved it around. It is definitely inferior to a CH joystick I had a few years ago.

I own this junk

Dana U., Newegg

  • Pros: I looks great.
  • Cons: I don't know where to begin. I have a lot of frustration with this company. There software feels pasted together. All the rotories, sliders, and the mini mouse jitter at times to the point of uncontrolability. Their forums and customer service is a joke. Don't waste your money.

Dont bother

Ryan B., Newegg
5 November 2012
  • Summary: Control imput may be dealt with differently in certain games like flight sims, but for ANYTHING else you will be much better off with a Logitech.
  • Pros: Looks cool.
  • Cons: Felt kinda cheap. Lights up like a christmas tree. Most importantly it felt unresponsive and completely out of control while flying anything. Even with up to date drivers some of the buttons would work inconsistently or stop until they were rebound. I returned it after a week.
