Summary: They were purchased used for a discount of $50 but I needed to repair before I could use them. I didn't know this when I placed the order - I expected them to work. It appears one of the potentiometers in the brakes was not installed correctly - the screws were missing and the pot was flopping around inside the housing. This is likely why they were returned and sold as used.
Summary: The motion on the rudders is decent, but if they aren't bolted down watch out! When making short field landings and applying hard pressure on the brakes, the unit tends to lift off the ground. The sensitivity knob was broken upon arrival. First set of rudder pedals, but I'd say simulated controls ARE NO COMPARISON to the real thing.
Summary: theyre sturdy , heavy, dont move when being used , i did get to use them with the flight x sim just because i wanted to see if i would use them with any other game/sim..i wont, dc final when flying helo's was my only reason for buying them.
Pros: again , awsome siatek product
Cons: i bought these to use with my 52 pro flightsticks in dc final mod for bf 1942 and they flat out don't work , siatek blames ea and dice and ea,dice blame siatek , and the customers and gamers are caught in the middle. and no one from all 3 companies seem to give a darn.
Summary: As someone new to flight simulators, these were the first rudder pedals I have ever used. My general impression is that they work well but their flimsy construction is disconcerting. As I haven't ever used CH pedals, it is difficult to assess what would be considered sturdy for a consumer product like this. However, the Saitek pedals feel as if they would be damaged by putting any amount of weight on the pedal surface.
Summary: Well, the pedals worked great when I first got them. I found that they didn't have enough resistance at its max setting to make them fully realistic.(I have my pilots license) All of a sudden one day it got stuck with full left pedal, I was unable to get it to come back. I took it apart and the inside guts are very cheaply built. After putting things back together it simply kept getting stuck with full left rudder.
Summary: I have been really pleased with the Saitek rudder pedals. It has enhanced the realism needed while taxiing on the runway and especially when flyling helicopters. You can focus on going up or down or turning left and right instead of also applying yaw on the joystick. The rudder pedals make it all worth it.
Pros: The pedals add the flight realism that is needed for FSX.
Summary: The track mechanisms need to be reinforced.I had the linkage come apart inside.Keep in mind that the warranty is void if you decide to tinker with them. What i did was reinforce the tracks with fiberglass strips used to make printed circuit boards. On one side i glued 2 strips together, and 1 on the other.I attached these strips to the screw posts. The strips will flex enough without too much strain on the interconnecting pedal linkage.I greased the tracks with non...
