Summary: I really wish I still had this stick. Not looking for sympathy by any means here, but back in August of 2013 my family had a house fire which totally destroyed everything inside, including half of our pets.
Pros: I've had this combat flight stick for many years; played titles such as Flaming Cliffs, MS Flight Simulator X, hell even Battlefield 2. Every time it was a wonderful experience! Very smooth movements, adjustable buttons, programmable buttons, easy to use software, and most important: comfortable.
Cons: None that come to mind. I lost a button (one of the ones that stick on the side of the top part), but I think that was due to my own recklessness, not so much the design of the stick itself.
Summary: I've used an old logitech joystick for years to play fs9 and FSX until it broke after YEARS of use. I was back in the market for a new joystick. I wanted a force feedback joystick but ugh, too expensive.
Summary: I use this unit to fly combat missions in Microsoft's various Flight Simulators and in piloting a Mech during Mechwarrior battles. The unit makes the transition easily. I don't have to worry about the technology in my hand, it just performs.
Summary: I bought this joystick for my husband about two years ago and will be buying another soon. He loves it, has had no issues until the rest broke off. But beware, do not make the mistake of buying it here!
Summary: This Joystick is awesome for my kids games. Its easy to reprogram the buttons (if you want). The install CD/software helps configure the way you want it to work and it can be adjusted for adult and little hands. SAITEK makes a great product.
Summary: I've played BF2 from the inception and never thought flying jets was all that much fun. However, this stick made the experience a blast. Previously, the throttle adjustments along with weapon choice made it much more difficult to pay closer attention to your prey.
