Summary: I've used an old logitech joystick for years to play fs9 and FSX until it broke after YEARS of use. I was back in the market for a new joystick. I wanted a force feedback joystick but ugh, too expensive.
Summary: I use this unit to fly combat missions in Microsoft's various Flight Simulators and in piloting a Mech during Mechwarrior battles. The unit makes the transition easily. I don't have to worry about the technology in my hand, it just performs.
Summary: I bought this joystick for my husband about two years ago and will be buying another soon. He loves it, has had no issues until the rest broke off. But beware, do not make the mistake of buying it here!
Summary: This Joystick is awesome for my kids games. Its easy to reprogram the buttons (if you want). The install CD/software helps configure the way you want it to work and it can be adjusted for adult and little hands. SAITEK makes a great product.
Summary: I've played BF2 from the inception and never thought flying jets was all that much fun. However, this stick made the experience a blast. Previously, the throttle adjustments along with weapon choice made it much more difficult to pay closer attention to your prey.
Summary: I use this joystick to play Il-2 FB. The yaw, thrust and pointer hat controls come in very useful there The self calibrating feature of the joystick is very convenient. The buttons on the head of the stick are a little too close together. I don't make use of the base buttons or the adjustable head.
Summary: Ive been burnt by "top quality" flight sticks over the years that would not calibrate despite software specifically designed for them. This EVO stick is stylish, STABLE and has several functions. True, the thrust control being behind the yoke makes it almost unusable.
