Summary: A great stick that is sadly no longer available new. I've used with Windows Vista and 10. Plug & play with both. Works great for MS Flight Simulator. Programmable toggle switches are great, as is the switchable dual/single throttle.
Summary: great, works in linux (switch set to mode B). a rudder is a must in flight sticks. this has rudder and throttle, which is great. For X plane, i programmed two of the various thumb buttons to be extend and retract flaps, and one to be retract brake, and the trigger to extend brake.
Summary: The price is misleading, it says original price is 59.99. The -01 is the version that cost $60... It has mechanical swithes on the front. This model has PS3 style buttons. I purchased this one because it was the cheapest one I could find with double throttle. THIS DOES NOT HAVE DUAL THROTTLE!!!!
Summary: I bought this not to use as a joystick but to add to my simulated home cockpit. I purchased the Digital Combat Simulations KA-50 Black Shark combat helicopter simulation and wanted to add a collective control.
Summary: I have had one of these for about 4 years, and use it almost daily. About 9 months ago, I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 and had some issues with it "sticking" to the right a bit.
Pros: This one lasted just under 4 years! Very precise and comfortable control with the throttle where it is, great for helicopter flight. Toggle switches are perfect. The selector switch is great for fast exit or eject. No issues at all with Windows 7 64-bit. NEVER have a problem with it staying put. ...
Cons: Just a warning instead of a con ---- Not recommended for OC (obsesive compulsive) flight simmers or current/retired pilots looking for a 'replica' feel of the real thing, this is great arcade joystick that can handle a lot of abuse.
Summary: I bought this joystick based on the product description and was very excited to get it to be able to use it with MSFS9 which i also bought to replace the copy i left behind when i moved here to South Dakota from California. i had also left behind a Logitech extreme 3D Pro joystick.
Summary: This is from the "keep it simple, stupid!" category. I'm loving it! I also own a tm hotas cougar, but I simply can't always have room for all that hardware and wires lying around. With the aviator joystick I got one usb cord to worry about, and I'm good to go!
Pros: Great joystick. Twist action for the rudder, two throttles, even a cool little flip thingy protecting the glowing red button (foxtrot 1!) what more could you use?
Cons: Could possibly use more buttons on the dash, although I haven't run out of them yet. Glowing red button could be annoying when you aren't using it-- I just unplug it from USB.
Summary: Saitek also has some very good web pages for support if needed. Between newegg reviews, vendor web sites and various forums one can get some great values with products from newegg.
Pros: I use it for flight simulators. No dead spots, integrates very well with FSX and CS3. I couldn't have ask for more functionality in this price range. It's a keeper and is used a lot with no deterioration of any of the controls.
