Excerpt: I think that his component to connect the wii to your tv is exactly what you need if you want the best kind of connection with the best resolution. The price is at less fair and very reasonable for what you are looking for. Many other companies may try to make something that may look the same but I will advise you that you should not let any one tell you that it is good or as close to the quality as the original nintendo will component video cables.
Totally worth the money if you use your Wii on an HDTV

Excerpt: After recently purchasing a brand new Nintendo Wii, I was more than a little underwhelmed with how it looked on my fairly large HDTV. After using an XBOX 360 in true high definition for the last few years I may have been spoiled by its visual splendour but I still wasn't willing to accept that. The composite video cable that comes packaged with the Wii and most other games consoles as well, is known to be the worst quality video cable available.
Summary: A major upgrade to the quality of the picture, both in contrast and brightness after installing the Nintendo Licensed Component Video Cable especially if you are using a HD tv. Good price, good choice.
Summary: The component cable does create a noticeably sharper image with enhanced colours. (although the sharper image can also make jagged edges more apparant as there is a lack of anti aliasing in the system). I would not call this product a necessity, the wii experience is just as great without it.
Excerpt: Cost: You can get it for £21.99 from Amazon. It is very expensive for the genuine article since those compatible cables are around £5 - £7 and some even less. Easy of installation??? I have a Sharp HD ready TV and I didn't look carefully at the connection port before I decided to buy one of this to improve the picture quality of my Wii. Hassle!
A must buy for Wii owners with a HD TV, the graphics improve significantly for only £10.

Excerpt: Having previously played my Wii on a regular old television I was more than happy with the graphics in game. However upon moving house and purchasing a Samsung LCD TV which is HD compatible, I figured buying a component cable couldn't hurt and I had heard good things about its effect upon games.
Excerpt: The Nintendo Wii Component Video Cable allows you to display your Wii games in 480p high definition if you have a HDTV. This is not as good as 720p, 1080i or 1080p that you can get on a PS3 or XBox 360 but it is the best picture quality you can get from your Wii and you will notice the improvement. The cable has 5 pins that plug in to the component inputs on your TV.
Pros: The best picture quality you can get from your Wii .
