After 2 years...

Stephen Thompson, Amazon
23 February 2012
  • Summary: I've owned this guitar for about 2 years now and have yet to write a review on it. All I can say is that it still plays as good today as it did when i first took out of the box. I've also taken pretty good care of it since I've had it. I'm a huge Guitar Hero and Rock Band fan, and have been playing them for years. I've gone through about 6 or 7 guitars before this one. This is the last one I've ever had to buy. It's amazing!

Great Guitar Controller, BUT CANNOT BE REPAIRED

Look585, Amazon
29 January 2012
  • Summary: I really like this controller. It is much better than the plastic ones. However, you need to know that Logitech does not support it with repairs or parts. This is a major disappointment from a company that I thought would be much better. My pick switch has been getting finicky and I have to be really careful how I use it. When it craps out completely I will problably have to try and find an electronics repair place to try to cobble together a repair.

The perfect guitar controller.

Liz, Amazon
28 September 2011
  • Summary: If money is no object, and you're willing to ignore the ORANGE! color, this is simply the best guitar controller one could have the pleasure to use. (the tuning pegs even twist!) It feels like a slightly shorter version of a real electric guitar in the hands and the controls are spot on. Nothing clicks above a soft whisper, and the strum bar feels solid and responsive.

My Own Experience

Raymond Hancheck "Lethander", Amazon
30 June 2011
  • Summary: Bought this last fall.. price was dropped to $75.00 So I figured would be a decent chance to take. Construction is top notch, I would say it weighs in at around 7 pounds.. it feels substancial in one's hands. Early on the yellow and red buttons did have a tendancy to stick, I cleaned them a few times and added some graphite powder on the edges have not had a problem since. I play Rock Band 3 mainly, some Gh once in a while but usually RB3..

music for fun

V. L. Grant "verolin", Amazon
6 May 2011
  • Summary: The person who wrote the long description of this guitar before me, hit the nail on the head. It is heavier then the "regular" controller. But feels like a real guitar. It is orange. Very orange. ;-) Just like something a rock stair would have. I would buy it again, and would recommend it to others. The only complaint I have with it is SOMETIMES it feels like no matter how the game is calibrated, you miss notes that you know you have gotten right.

  • Summary: I had looked everywhere for a suitable replacement for these plastic guitar controllers.I have to say that I and everyone who has used these love them their ease of use and real feel of a wooden guitar (tho a little heavy) no more clickety clack of strumbars just music. I am definetly glad I bought them.

Great deal, quality product.

Lawrence84, Amazon
7 February 2011
  • Summary: I've been through several plastic guitars since the first Guitar Hero. When it came time to replace yet another, I found this Logitech guitar through some searching. Bottom line - I'm glad I bought it, and it's been holding up very well. Value: On average, I play this guitar about 20-30 hours spread over each month. I've had it for about half a year now, and I am still satisfied with the performance.

Orange Like a lollipop and just as enjoyable to lick

John L. Rudenauer "The Cobra Commander", Amazon
25 January 2011
  • Summary: For anyone who is cereal about RB this axe is some serious business. Of course it is NOT a PRO mode guitar, but it is quite impressive. This thing is solid oak, and I mean solid. This will stand up to some serious abuse. If my house were in the midst of a zombie onslaught I would have a tough time choosing my weapon between my largest kitchen knife, and this guitar.

not a game, a peripheral

John "Dr jebus", Amazon
25 January 2011
  • Summary: The most impressive-looking, impressive-feeling, and impressively durable fake guitar I've had the pleasure of strumming. Things to note: my noob friends will hit the guide button while whammying, but I don't have any problem with it. Also, the fret buttons are spaced apart more than the plastic Les Paul from GH3. The fret buttons themselves are quite "clackity," whereas the strum bar is almost completely silent, while maintaining a satisfying tactile click feeling.
