Great alternative to Microsoft's 360 controller for the PC.

Summary: I'm more of a console guy. It's not until recently that I really started going to PC for some gaming; It's because of Steam. I already own a few pc gamepads, but unfortunately, many of the games on Steam won't let you use just any old PC controller. These games were designed to be compatible with the X-box 360 controller for PCs. Microsoft 360 controllers I've seen go $30+. Logitech's F310 gamepad is about $10 less, so I went for it and I'm loving it.
Summary: I bought this controller during a deployment to Afghanistan. Not only did it hold up to constant bad weather, packing, and rough handling, I have used this controller regularly for over a year and have yet to feel or see any real wear. It works great on controller-based games and with the right configuration, can work very well with non-controller games. I first tried the direct-input (Keyboard input) on Modern Warfare and the game worked like it was designed for it.
Summary: I've had this product for about a year now and recently it started disconnecting whenever I move the cord just a little bit.. This was easily fixed though by coiling the cord around the controller once. However , it's not what you come to expect when purchasing a controller from a reputable brand like Logitech. Other than the disconnecting issues , the controller worked fine.
Summary: I bought this for playing old games on emulators, as my old Saitek's d-pad was horribly inaccurate. The d-pad on this one is not amazing. You can press in the center and push all the buttons at once, because it's not on a rocker, and it kind of rattly and cheap feeling. That being said, it actually works fine for retro gaming. You don't end up pressing all the buttons at once, and as far as I can tell, it's perfectly accurate, and my character moves where I tell him to.
Summary: I really wanted to love this controller. However, I already own a wireless 360 controller and I find that one more comfortable - probably due to my large hands. I find the Logitech 310 a bit cramped and the controls not as good a feel as the 360. On the positive side, 1) these controllers are wired, so no batteries to chew through. 2) about half the cost of 360 Microsoft hardware at this time 3) both XInput and DirectInput-compatible.
Just but the 360 for windows, this isn't comfortable at all

Summary: Very cheap but is not comfortable at all, especially the triggers. You hand is at a pretty awkward angle. Do not make my mistake and buy this you will regret it. Get the 360 for windows controller. it is so much more comfortable.
Summary: I ordered this on a sale because for the price how could I go wrong. I play mostly FPS on the PC but occasionally a RPG also. Well after I ordered it, I came across "Dirt 2" on sale and DL it. Well I am so glad I got this Logitech F310 if nothing else, for this game alone. I have a PS3 and play various games on the Playstation so I am used to the controller and the layout. Let me tell you Dirt 2 rocks on my computer.
