Summary: I've had this for quite some time and it is still working fantastically. I use it via usb, and for me it has been plug and play on every instance of windows 7 and 8 I have used. Windows automatically finds drivers for it and off you go playing games. The stick has the perfect amount of resistance. Not so much you can't move it, not so little it just moves all around. It also very quickly moves back to center position. All buttons work well, and the trigger is very nice.
Summary: I have been using these sticks since 2007 when I moved from console gaming to PC gaming. I wasnt very experienced with PCs except for some classes I had taken in high school. That means my fingers didnt work well enough on the keyboard to be competitive in FPS games. Enter the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. I dont use it for flight sims; I use it for FPS gaming. I use it with my left hand for movement and other functions such as reload, sprint, crouch, etc.
Real world pilot feeling the "all in one solution"
13 November 2013
Summary: I am a real world pilot, I like to fly the planes. This joystick is "All in one = Rudder, Throttle and Stick" solution. It gives me power in my hand which controls all the primary and some secondary features without jumping to the 'Cockpit'. I can do hours of Pattern (circuit flying) or a Navigation from (Paris to Brussels or Frankfurt to Amsterdam). All good with the Logitech Magic Stick in my hand for a very reasonable price.
Summary: I read that this one loses his center quickly, I dunno.... maybe they talk about some other joystick? I have this one for, believe it or not, 4 yrs ! Still work, still playable, center is not like when it was new (but which one is, right?) in fact.... I want to replace him right now (that's the only reason I'm stumble on this page, cuz I'm looking for new one) with the very same one.
