Fun...when it works.
9 November 2012
Summary: I'll start off by saying that I am now on my second DFGT wheel, and I'm about to return it too. I use the wheel exclusively for Gran Turismo 5, and when it works it's a lot of fun to use, and makes the game much better. However, the reason I had to return one and now the second one is because of the pedals. The first one, straight out of the box on the very first usage had an issue with the brake pedal where it would stick in the on position after releasing the pedal.
Summary: This stand will not comfortably handle the size, power, and weight of a Thrustmaster 500 RS .... Even on a moderate FFB setting, the TM 500 will spin this to the floor during an aggressive left or right turn .... A G27 is this stands limit ...... Using this in conjunction with the Thrustmaster 500RS and the newly released TH8RS is like wrestling with a coat rack .....
Summary: I've only tried this wheel with GT5 so far, but on that it's absolutely horrible. The force feedback is totally bizarre and unconnected to any real thing that happens in cars. It just seems to kick in the motor and want to fight you, or do this weird auto-recenter thing when you hit a straight. It's very annoying and unrealistic.
Summary: I have purchased Logitech driving force GT racing wheel, it is nice product and enjoying the function, but it arrived as the PS key dead. Seems poor QA control. Since I received it in Japan, I don't know what to do. Appreciate if Amazon could to do something for this failure (dead on arrive problem).
Summary: Let's face it, you're buying this product for the following reasons: 1 - you bought a wheel because using the controller is ridiculous for racing 2 - the wheel doesn't work on its own because its torque makes it too difficult to hold 3 - you probably bought the stupid doomaflagie that goes between your legs to better hold the wheel. It didn't work any better, did it?
