A nightmare for Mac -- Can't use with Portal/Portal 2

Summary: I bought this controller specifically so I could play Portal 2 on my Mac. Turns out it isn't fully compatible with Macintosh, even though the advertising says it is. First of all, the enclosed software disc is PC only, and there's no configuration software included. Also, mini CDs won't run in iMacs. After spending hours researching this product and trying to figure out how to use it on a Mac, I gave up. This controller is a bad deal for Mac users.
Buyer Beware! Dies quickly, poor support, and Logitech refussed to honor warranty because Amazon.com doesn't have paper receipt

Summary: My Son and I play Final Fantasy XI on various systems (PC, Workstations, Playstation 2, and Playstation 3). My primary access is a Dell Precision 390 workstation using this controller. I also use the same controller on a Dell Laptop (Inspiron 9300). This is a GREAT controller when it works, but thus far they die quickly. Over the years I bought 5 of them and thus far only 2 of them are working.
Excerpt: This has been the beset controller I have used. I am able to use this at 10 ft' from the IR receiver without issue. Battery life is about 6 months for me with occasional gaming. Logitech software updates are useful for game controller settings but I find the best use for this controller is games certified for Cordless Rumblepad. Weight and feel is plus. Purchased used form Ebay shipped with original packaging and no defects.
Summary: This unit has been in my hands for two weeks, and already I'm having serious issues with it. First, either the controller can't send precise signals or the sensor isn't discrimination enough. Every so often, pressing one button will activate the function of a different button. (e.g. I'll press button 6 and button 2 will activate instead) Second, the right analog stick won't stay zeroed. I started out fine, but went south over time. It is now nearly unusable.
Summary: We purchsed two of these units. They worked for 1.5 months then we started having problems. While polite, Logitec's customer "no-service" offered fixes which we'd already tried and never were able to get to the bottom of the problem unless I called their phone help personnel at my expense. A month and a half later I'm still going around and around with them. They consistenly avoid my requests for a replacement unit.

Summary: This control pad has tiny widdle buttons that are for tiny widdle fingers. If you have large hands, don't buy this junk, go for the cordless version. The buttons wear out fast. My buton 1 is already starting to make snapping sounds. It is for kids, not adults or teens. The unit itself is big, but the buttons are tiny. I now have carpel tunnel of the right thumb(aka stiffness and soreness) because of this stinker.
Summary: This product is useless, as hundreds of people can tell you if you google search for calibration problems. The pad has a hardware problem which causes the left analog stick to break after a few minutes of use. You have to unplug it and plug it back in every few minutes to recalibrate the stick.
