Summary: Our kitchen has limited space and a counter depth refrigerator was necessary. We previously had a GE. This refrigerator is much more spacious, also well designed to make maximum use of the space.
Summary: We've had this fridge for about a month now and are very happy with it. It replaced a much older side by side. It's only slightly taller than our old fridge but seems to have so much more room. It's a little irritating that the shelves can only go in certain locations but that's something we can live with. It's quiet, spacious and generally well thought out though the freezer needs another shelf.
Summary: Very nice fridge for the money. Ice maker in the door makes a lot more room in the freezer compartment. Big shelves in fridge door are very useful- although one more would have been preferred. Paid a grand more for my old ge profile (died in 8 years) and it wasn't nearly as nice.
Summary: I read the reviews so I was prepared for the noisy ice maker! Just like everyone said it is noisy! I have learned to turn the switch off and only make ice during the day because the noise will keep you up. Other than the above the refrigerator is just beautiful, the placement of shelves and drawers well thought out. I purchased it because if is "counter depth" and it gives a sleek look to the kitchen.
Summary: Love the sleek and modern appearance of the Black Ice version of the Whirlpool Gold counter depth refrigerator. I have stainless Whirlpool appliances for dishwasher/microwave/and stove and the Black Ice door handles match the stainless perfect. The Black Ice door finish looks great, but the real awesome feature is the measured pour from the water dispenser.
We purchased this appliance feeling that the Ice White with Stainless Handles is a nice transitional style.

Excerpt: This appliance had all the features wanted in a refrigerator for a replacement refrigerator. The size was perfect, it is energy efficient, the LED lighting is a nice new addition, and the color and style fit our needs very well. The in-door water and ice offering is very convenient, the water can be measured to specific ounces catering to your specific requirement.
Pros: Convenient Features, Design, Easy to use, Energy Savings, Innovative, Performance, Sound level, Style
Excerpt: The product is very noisy, always humming or making some other noise. The ice dispenser is very messy and the location of the on-off switch for ice is very inconveniently located. Also the water that is dispensed continues to taste of plastic. The vegetable and fruit bins are very small. The layout of the freezer compartment is very convenient. The wine rack in the fridge is convenient and the door compartments are quite ample.
Excerpt: Overall, great product. Looks great, works as expected, but missing just a few details. - The sizable pour of water feature is cool, but lacks in that you have to hold a button down for almost as long as one would hold the cup against the lever manually. What would improve this feature is a small number pad that might appear, or a 2 or 3 size memory.
Excerpt: We were limited as to the size and style that would fit into our 1950s home. My galley kitchen just wouldn't give way for the deep models of today's refrigerators. We reluctantly purchased the double door counter depth model as our only alternative but are pleasantly surprised at how much it has added to our kitchen. It is easy to use and holds all of our "required" items (you know like old jelly jars).
Pros: Convenient Features, Design, Easy to use, Energy Savings, Performance
