Summary: The actual cubic feet are more than 21, but less than 22. Actually, this is the same size of the one (also Whirlpool) we replaced which was 30 years old. The new one has the new amenities, such as crushed ice, LED interior lighting, smaller ice cubes but more of them, an on and on.
Summary: Certainly w/ some other reviewers, the ice maker size is not a good fit, but here is what I cannot understand...the 3 wire racks in the freezer do not go to the back wall and consequently, frozen food will slip and fall behind the shelving and lodge behind the back of the pull out bin.
Summary: If you are buying this fridge because it has a 33" width and your contractor messed up and gave you a 33" opening, then STOP. The fridge needs a 36" opening to open the doors. It will not work well in a corner, even if you have 36", because the freezer door does not open wide enough.
Summary: I love the refrigerator side. It's roomy with big drawers and holds tons of stuff in both the door and on the shelves.
The freezer, on the other hand, is sadly lacking. There is very little room, thinner boxes fall through the shelves, and the door holds about three bags of frozen veggies...
Excerpt: Two days after delivery, had a small problem with the ice maker cover attachment that detects when the ice bin is full...did not know what it was, it was bent and a piece of styrofoam was left in the ice bin during delivery. Called about it and it was promptly fixed. Thanks!
