Excerpt: This refrigerator design is a god-send! The French Door design is outstanding, especially considering that it is only 29 1/2" wide. The water dispenser on the door is great, and I like the ice maker, it's very functional and stores a considerable amount. It has a glossy white finish, and is very attractive. Everyone who comes into my apartment admires the refrigerator. I didn't know that a refrigerator would attract so much attention.Thank you Whirlpool!!
Pros: Attractive Design, Customizable Shelving, Easy Access, Energy Efficient, Holds Temperature Well, Quiet, Space For Tall Items
Summary: We were restricted by the space in our kitchen. We like our layout and the cabinets and didn't want to remodel. This refrigerator gave us what we wanted a freezer on the bottom and a door water dispenser. It is nicely designed with adjustable shelving and the pullout drawer feature makes it easy to access items in the freezer.
Summary: the plastic drawers are el-cheapo and the middle drawers come off their tracks fairly often (so far the deli drawer is fine). The freezer and fridge doors must be very firmly closed -- I regularly find one of them open (!) and many times the "door open" alarm doesn't go off. I miss my old fridge -- a sturdy 15 yr old Amana where a gentle push would close doors.
Summary: If you want a French door fridge with freezer on the bottom and water dispenser on the outside of the door, this seems to be the only choice on the market (along with a Maytag, that is essentially the same fridge, made by the same company). The only drawback is a lack of places for tall items - we now own two of these, and have removed one of the baskets in the door to allow for taller bottles, etc.
Excerpt: This Refrigerator was designed to replace an old top freezer model. The unit fits great in the space I had available without removing the cabinets etc. The unit is quiet and very versatile, not to mention it looks good. Could not believe how much space the is available with the Ice maker where it belongs....In the freezer. I love it. One comment is that if you only open the left door when you close it the right door pops open.

Summary: I've had the same white Whirlpool Princess Series 14 cubic ft. refrigerator for 27 years. By the way, it's still working perfectly and I never once had to have it repaired! My mother also has the same refrigerator, but in beige. She never had to repair it either. Yes, I needed more room as the years went on and my family grew...but I managed somehow, not wanting to discard an appliance in perfect working order.
Summary: I Purchase the exact unit 3 months ago. Whirlpool sent out a Whirlpool certified technician and made 4 attempts to repair my leaky water dispenser. He even call Whirlpool repair technician and they couldn't solve problem. I toke three 1/2 days off work to meet with the technician but he could not repair it. Whirlpool recommended to order more parts. I week went by and I never heard from the repair company.
Summary: I bought a french door 30" whirlpool fridge on Sep 30, 2013 and when I plugged it in at home it was making a loud rattling sound every time the compressor started. Don't buy the whirlpool fridge model wrf560sfym01 - it's a lemon (the damper needed to be replaced).
